Does your school suspend people for chewing gum, too?
There is no way your school can suspend somebody for creating a web blog, it's perfectly legal assuming they are over the age of 13. The school can't tell you what and what you can't do during your free time, unless it breaks a law.
Now I suppose if there is a picture of somebody doing an illegal activity on there then they could take action, but that person is just a dumbass for posting that picture then.
Myspace is a fad, like Pokemon cards, tamagotchies (however you spell it), and pogs. It'll fade out eventually.

The minimum age to use MySpace was lowered from 16 to 14, as per the user agreement that every user read prior to submitting their application. The parents of the thirteen year old kid are going to sue, and the funny thing is that they are going to lose.

I dont think they will go searching for them, but if they hear about one, they will look at it.
At the high school in my town, (I don't go there) the cops were going through all the myspaces of athletes and if there was any alcohol on it, they got suspended.

Yup, IHSA rules state no athelete can be in possesion of alcholic beverages at any time.
I just created myspace finally. (If you want the link PM me). I really like it. As far as who looks at it I'm an adult and don't care who looks at it or why. Its a very interesting site and in two days I've connected with alot of old chums from high school.

Parents don't understand that web blogs like this have been around for YEARS now. What about Zanga? You could also create your own website hosted by some free website which everybody at my school did a couple years back. Fact is, now that it's become so popular, parents can now realize that it is possible for stalkers and predators to get ahold of their kids. It's not just chatrooms anymore!
Until a big news story that people care about comes along, myspace will be under more and more fire.
And by the way, I've seen something on Fox 6 and almost every major news station in Milwaukee about myspaces.

Theres been news storys on Fox 6 about myspace but not about how schools were trying to look at them. I would tell you what school is looking at them but they threatened to sew me for Slander.

HAHAHAHA. I almost believed that one.
Let me be the first to call BS.
Basically, the way I look at it, why put anything on the internet that could possibly get you in trouble? It doesn't make sense at all. Just keep your space clean and nothing can possibly happen to you.

^ I find it an invasion of privacy if your profile is private and the school pulls people out of classes to log into their accounts so they can view your profile. And I dont even go there anymore!
