I might go, I'm not sure yet. If i go, i'll probably wear a tee shirt and jeans with my old converse sneakers. I don't even know when it is yet, but if I make it past the feb auditions, maybe that won't be a problem....
How the heck would we know. It isn't even announced yet and we can't predict weather 6 months in advance.(I know we're good, but not that good.) But, in general, Opening day is usually busy.(Except for a few variables ig weather. Where in that case, it can be unusually empty like Opening day 2004.)
I'll say that opening day will be Saturday April 30th. It just makes sense because thats around the time when the park has opened the past few years. I'll be wearing a coaster shirt. Just look for an amazingly handsome guy with 5 or 6 girls hanging on him. He might be carrying a basketball or stuffed animal because he's amazing at the basketball game.

I'm so afraid that I might get a pass... but even if I do I probably won't go to opening day for the theme park because I know I won't have a ride, but I'll probably have a ride for the opening of the water park and if I don't I'll find a ride.

The waterpark will NOT be open for April 30. I will be there for sure, what I am wearing, I don't know, and where I will go, couldn't tell you that either. I would defiantly meet up, if I can.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
Ill be there wearing blue nikes with white addidas socks (ankle socks of course) with a blue logo, i will have on a pair of express jeans, along with a hanes t-shirt with a polo from hollister on above it. I will also be wearing joe boxer boxer briefs. My hair will be styled with Garnier Fruitis "super-Stiff" styling gel.
Hope to see you there

sorry i dont plan my wardrobe 5 months ahead of time.
I don't think they have opened up any eariler than the first weekend in May since like 1995. But they might have to this year since I believe May 1st is a Sunday.
I'd also like the new manager to think about keeping the park open longer on Fridays and Satudays during Peak time (July/August) maybe until midnight or something like that.
I think the 1st thing on the new GM's agenda should be getting rid of the stupid 9:00 closing time all the way through June. SFGAm should start being open until 10:00 as soon as schools start getting out, as oposed to July.
^I agree completely. I also agree with the open till midnight on Friday and Saturday idea. I know it would attract me since I love being on coasters late at night and they do it at many other Six Flags parks.

If it already was open to midnight then they probably wouldn't have coasters after dark anymore, because people might not want to work that late. But if it was opened to midnight all those days I would love it.
First off, the park used to be open until 10 in June a few years back. Due to staffing and SF's financial problems, they scaled back the hours until July.
The park is not open until midnight because the residents that live near the park don't like the idea of the park being open that late. Noise, traffic, etc. that late at night is not appealing to them.
I am assuming that the park went before the Gurnee board for approval to host the 3 "Coasters after dark" events due to the late closing time.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
I too will be going opening day. I think it would be awesome to meet up with as many people as possible next year. I met so many cool people this year.(Do you post at SfGamworld.com?)
