Question about Post Counts

I have a general question about post counts. I've noticed that whenever I post a topic or comment in the Off-Topic Forum, the post count never increases. Why is that? I have been stuck at 80 post for the longest and I just recently started a new topic in the Meetings & Gatherings Section (which just updated my count to 81).

Posts in the off-topic forum don't count toward one's post count.

Yeah, I noticed that too. Spam problem, or something like that.
