Alright a few minutes ago while browsing the forums I got an error that said: PHP Critical Error: Could not connect to database.Has anyone else recieved this error today?I came back on and everything worked fine, so im not sure if it was just my computer or the forums.
Yeah, I got one of those e-mails saying that a topic had recieved a reply etc., and I went to the top and clicked on SFGAM world forum index and it did it.
Its hard to come up with signatures. When I get one it will be right here.
Was the site not responding, or the forums? If it was the whole site, Dave, read your contract with your host. Maybe for the downtime, if you had it, you could get free extra bandwith or something.
I've been getting these now and again. Recently (past day) I have been getting more than normal. Any reason for this? (happens on 3 different computers running IE 6, and 5.5 XP/2000 pro.)
I don't think it matters where you are, I'm 99% sure it's server side. Really, we can't do much. I can't do diddly squat, and Dave can't do much more than complain to his host. So, either Dave has to complain, or we have to live with it. Even if he does complain, there is no guarentee anything will change, anyways.
Who hosts this site?If others are having troubles, try searching http://www.webhostingtalk.com for your host. When I used to be into webpage design, I would always visit this site. Good place to learn.
