Something new for Season Passholders?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby diggerg56 on March 21st, 2007, 11:11 pm
From the season pass section on the new website:
"3. RISE AND SCREAM
Season Pass holders get exclusive early-morning rides on the most pulse-pounding coasters on the planet, including Superman: Ultimate Flight, Batman: The Ride, Viper, and Raging Bull. And don't forget, you get complete Hurricane Harbor access with your Great America entry."

Sounds like they're planning some early entry rides for passholders.

I heard they were having that at Great Adventure. I hadn't heard of it coming here. I'm excited now.

A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!

Great. Hopefully they will let the season pass holders in early enough to get more than one ride in.

I would almost rather have this than CAD. With this many season pass holders won't wake up early enough for it, instead of many people getting off of work and heading strait to GAm for coaster riding. Maybe there will be low staffing but there will still be minimal lines.

I agree- CAD was is just getting to be too crowded. The first year they introduced it, not so bad. Last year the lines were almost worse than a normal operating day.

Looking forward to seeing how this works out.

If this is true and does happen it is great news!!!
Hopefully it will be several days a week, this could be much better than CAD which was too busy and too short while far less people will get to the park earlier to enjoy this perk.

Apparently, this is not happening at GAm. There will still be 3 CAD events. :(

The mistake on the website was fixed, it is now listing three Coasters After Dark events: Friday June 15, Tuesday July 12, and Wednesday August 15.

Blah. June 15th may be okay, but July 12th and August 15th will be busier then normal hours, just like the past two years. Better to simply go during the first month of opening where you will have no waits then to go during any of the CAD events.

Terrible news!!!!!

CAD is so busy its not worth the effort as lines are shorter during the day than during the event.

I dunno, last CAD I went to was pretty sweet. Superman, V2, and Spacely's were like walk on. I think you just have to avoid the mob.

Whats wrong? Cant get the yuppie Gurnee kids outta bed b4 10? Come on. If its done elsewhere, why not here? And why only 3 CAD dates? Now you know why its so crowded.

Get CAS Coasters After Sunrise.

In addition to some extra ride time Six Flags is trying to sell stuff. Coaster After Dark will get a better turn out than a Rise and Scream. You sell more stuff with more people in the park. It is defiantly a lot easier to convince people to stay later than it is to show up earlier. The events are on a Friday, a Thursday, and a Wednesday. Six Flags is looking for local families with parents working during the day, and popping in afterwards for a few rides with their kids. I have a feeling there will be expanded kiddies coverage at this years C.A.D. events. Bottom line, I like sleep, I don’t usually arrive at the park until 11 or 12, and I would much rather have the time tacked on to the end of the day.
