Question about season pass

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby forddude1416 on January 8th, 2007, 7:43 pm
My [totally awesome] girlfriend bought me and her season passes. We went for the print-n-go option. Do we still have to pay for parking or do we have to pay once to park then go to member services to get our stuff?

You pay for parking once, take the receipt in with you and go to the Pass Processing Center or Guest Services and you will pay for the parking pass and get the $15 you paid taken off the total amount. Word on the street is there might not be parking stickers for much longer, instead people are starting to have the word PARKING printed on their season pass.

Oh so parking pass isn't included with the cost of season pass? Any idea how much it is? Thanks for the quick reply though

The parking pass last year i believe was in the neighboorhood of 50 dollars but as said above, you will get 15 of that taken off once you pay for parking on the first day you go to the park.

And while this is in no way confirmed yet there is speculation that with the generic printing of "PARKING" on season passes, that soon parking passes will be accepted at all parks. As I said though this is currently just rumor.

I got my season pass last year at the park and they had no sticker for the parking pass as they did in past years. It was written on my season pass. This probably helps the park from people trying to scam it by claiming the sticker was lost when they just gave it to a friend etc.

Most likely at least $50 I believe Jan. 7th was the date Season Pass prices were slated to increase.

Hey atleast this way if you lose your season pass your won't lose your parking pass too. I was always worried about that.

I can't remember where I read or heard it, but I believe it was confirmed that a parking pass will be good at all SF parks. I think Shapiro briefly stated it in the conference call when he was talking about season passes.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I know that the all SF Parking Pass may be true but was never 100% confirmed. The reason for setting it up this way is for tracking reasons. Far as I understand they are going to install Scanners in the Parking Both so that they can scan your pass, so they can track how many times you enter and leave the parking lot. I know that there will be a lot of more things they will be tracking next year. I heard that they will be giving discounts to season pass holders on all Food and Merchandise. The idea is that they will have to scan your pass in order to get the discount, so they can track the spending habits of Season Pass holders.

I'm totally all for that. It's no different then a Jewel's preferred card or any other one of the sorts. I know some people won't like it and say it's "the man" tracking them but hey, they could force me to scan it every time I take a leak if it means I can get cheaper everything.

Wasn't the tracking issue brought up in that season pass focus group at the end of last season? Correct me if I'm wrong.

That will be awesome if they start printing Parking right on the pass because last year my parking sticker starting falling apart on me. They still took it though.

I have a question, Does the season-pass processing center open with the park, or if not, when does it open? I didn't feel like making my own topic about it.
