Where do you think that they will put future coasters to the park? Since there is little room left I think they will make a parking lot coaster or take out a existing ride. What do you all think?
I normally would close this because this topic has been brought up endless times but because it's the offseason, what the heck.
If they get creative like Indiana Beach does with their coasters, the park has plenty of room and doesn't need to remove rides to put in future coasters.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
I know there have been several roomers that Trailblazer is History, but if they know its going then why did they put it in the 2007 Physics Day Packet.
I'm going to side with the conclusion that will be reached in a few months that there is actually plenty of space for new rides if you look hard enough or if the park gets creative enough without removing any rides.

I wouldn't think so. If they'd ever build a coaster in that spot then they'd have to remove the whole strip next to it, the Ricochet, and possibly the Demon. That's not gonna happen anytime soon. A parking lot coaster sounds OK, but that may not happen anytime soon. My ride of preference would be to rip out Splashwater Falls for a 300-foot tall free-fall ride like Dr. Doom's at Islands of Adventure.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.

I REALLY hope you were kidding............
http://themeparkcritic.com/scripts/profile/ViewProfile.asp?ViewID=2909 A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!
I would love for SFGAM to get a coaster that can maybe bring something new to the table. I mean, we WERE known for that a while back (Batman, Iron Wolf, Bull etc.) Why not get a new B & M and try to place it somewhere where it interacts with the other rides and stuff?

I'm not listening...la la la...still not listening.....
I always thought it'd be cool to build a ride that goes over Roaring Rapids and in that area. Just a thought, but it could happen. I'm also all for winding a coaster through the Loggers Run/Ice Mountain Splash area.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter

SFGAm is done with expanding into the parking lot. When they built Hurricane Harbor, that took up all of our excess parking spaces. Even now, I've seen the lot come very close to full. If they loose more spaces, it won't be good.
^SSA = popular family ride. Shapiro wouldn't allow it.
Maybe they could cram Astroworld's old Ultra Twister into the hill Shockwave's parts sat. Or a S&S Squirrel Zipper in Yukon Territory would be awesome. The U.S. still hasnt got one of these last I heard.

Don't gurnee have a law on a restrictions for height.. like 200 something ? I think they should change it..
Whatever the restriction is, the ride should be right up to that height. But it would be nice if they changed it, but that's not likely to happen.
I wouldn't suspect Loggers Run and Yankee Clipper going away soon. Those are classics. If one goes, so does the other one. And that's not gonna happen.

The height restriction is the top of Sky Trek's flagpole, and anything over 125 feet must be approved by the Village of Gurnee.
I think in terms of new rides, what the park needs most (and is most realistic over the next couple years) is a family interactive dark ride. SFGAm is one of the only corporate parks now that doesnt have one, and I think that fact wont last past the 08 or 09. A good location would be SWF's spot, that way they leave space to expand HH into the Stargate spot.
One thing I noticed, just cause a ride is a family ride doesnt make it safe, not sure if I'm supposed to say anything but SFGAdv is removing their flume(which is one of the best family rides) to make extra space for something that will appeal to a far more narrow demographic (and it isnt teens or adults)

"If one goes, so does the other one." That is not at all true. Paramount's Great America removed Clipper and kept Logger's and they were able to fit a major coaster in. Then later, they put a water park in that spot still keeping Logger's (although Boomerang Bay is really small )

First off, I already said I was kidding about a coaster in Trailblazer's spot. I dont know why some people thought I was actually serious....
Second off, why would they put a freefall when we already have GD?
I dont think SFGAm needs another family coaster. I think either a dark ride or a flat package would be nice. Either one should take the place of SSA and the Winners Circle.
