Road Race at GAm

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I went to a 5K road race recently, and I had fun. I was just thinking about how fun a race at GAm could be. There could also be prizes of some sort for winners of each age group. This could help encourage families to come. Any thoughts or ideas?

EDIT: I would assume the run would take place in the morning before regular operation of the rides.

I think a race is a very good idea. I'd surely look into it if I was in town. I've jogged through Cedar Point and that was fun before. Think of how much fun that would be with people lining the midways for the "road race." I say a park looks into it - it would be a great promotion and attract lots of people as well as be a healthy event!

^coasterzak, good to know you aren't dead.

I love this idea, depends who it's really catered to, and we all know it wouldn't be catered towards ACER's! I mean, there would just be too make heartattacks for the local area hospitals to handle.

this would be rather interesting....no acers will participate, but if people come to the park, that'd be good
