What's up with great america having 2 maps this year. they've got the usual one and the huge giant one that you get when you park. I personally think the big one is weird looking and if you look at it you can tell that some of the people are in 2 different places. what's up wit tat

yeah that's what i am talking about but does anyone know why great america has it when they already have a better, smaller, more informational map. like do they plan to replace the old ones or do they have them for stupid people that actually want to spread their arms all the way out to read it. i am getting a little to serious with this but i like the regular maps just fine. whatever
well that could be too. i guess the only way to know is to have someone who works at great america tell me. sometimes i wish someone on this site actually worked behind the scenes at ga to give some good inside info when we need it. ya know

well, it depends who you talk to on the site for "insider" info.
The map is purely a souviner type of map, though i've seen way too many people use it for navigation.......*shakes head*. If you use that, you'll expect to see a black and white green lantern in all the corners....lol.
Yeah, I don't like those maps. Well if they are just for suvineers then it's fine but they are way to cartoony. I didn't get one becasue I went on a field trip but I seen other people with them.
I like them, they remind me of the old Marriott-era maps. The only thing Ive really noticed on them is that some of the rides are running backwards (V2, Viper, etc.)
yeah they are cartoonish. alot of parks make their maps cartoonish and that's not right if people actually need to use them. I mean we don't live in a cartoon world.
I hate the big ones..theyre nice to have, but can be very confusing to guests.

The old CitiGraph souvinear maps were really good for navigation, were accurate and had decent artwork. Now after 11 years they are back, done in house and utterly worthless for anything exept an excuse to plaster DC Comics all over a sheet of paper and call it a map.

i need to start refusing them at the parking gates, I've got way too many of those sitting around my car, and my bedroom. At least some of my employee friends all got their maps, thanks to me.....lol.
I've got the big map on my bedroom wall too! I loved it when they had them for souveniers at Cedar Point and i think it's about time Great America has one too. The little ones are for navigating and the big ones are cool for keepsakes. As a theme park brochure collector (which i'm sure a lot of you all can join me on this one), you can never get too many different types of park maps!
