I was there for a few hours this morning and noticed the water dummies on the ride. I did see the catch car on the starting tower moving up and down. It started to drizzle so I didn't stick around to long to see if they where testing the ride today.

SFMM and SFOG are now open!!!! Ours is the unphenomeon.

I doubt SFMM's Vu will be open very long. As far as I've heard, ours runs the best (OURS!?) mostly because last year it was open 75% or more of the time. It shouldn't be long before its open, but no one knows for sure.

Actually no, if you are talking strait operating days, it was open for atleast 75% of the time. It was running reliably for all 3 major months of the season (June, July, August) with I think only about 4 days of downtime during that stretch. Granted it was closed for much of May for staffing reasons and October for mechanical reasons but it was open most of the year.

DOnt forget that once coaster trains and parts are assembled, it also must do a certain amount of safety cycles with and without water dummies, and it must be certified by the state. Then people must be trained for the ride. From what it seems deja vu has been reassembed and it has been cycling according to some people. ( I myself havent noticed anything). So it may not be mechanical..

Actually, Vu, in May had very good uptime, it was up majority of the month, hence how I managed to get almost 70 rides in May on Vu. It was open on weekdays too. Vu was up every month very reliable, except October for reasons that cannot be discussed. It was easily up over 50% of the time and up about 80% in May, June, July, August, and early September.

I've ridden all three at various times. The one at SFGAm is by far the smoothest in my experience. I rode the one at SFoG earlier this Spring and it was downright painful.
The one at SFMM didn't have too much head-banging the last time I rode it but it wasn't as smooth and felt very jerky going through the elements.
From the reports I've heard, there were some modifications from the manufacturer and SFGAm is the last to get them done due to the operating schedule. SFMM and SFoG have earlier opening dates so they got the parts for the modifications first.
I would also agree that the Vu at SFGAm was open about 75% of the time last year, at least from a mechanical standpoint. I never quite did understand closing it because of "staffing." I guess we'll see if that changes with the new management structure.
