As we all know, Six Flags Great America celebrates Fright Fest and Cedar Point celebrates Halloweekends. Since these two parks are the biggest rival parks in the midwest (aren't they or is it just me who thinks that) and these are both main events in each park, which do you think is better?
I think that Fright Fest is better than Halloweekends. Halloweekend has some good decorations, but Great America's seem more realistic.
Now I havent been to Halloweekends but I have taken a picture tour and seen many pictures of Halloweekends so this is where I'm getting my answer from.
It's green. It's blue. It's all over you! Enjoy your ride on Déjà Vu
I go to Halloweekends every year. Would never imagine missing it.
Last year I would have said they both have good and bad points.
Now I would say Halloweekends is better because Fright Fest is going to be all lamed out with the new owner. In fact the other day I was on the website for the company who runs the freak show, and Great AMerica was off their schedule so it probably won't be there anymore.
The freak show was my favorite part of Fright Fest so I'm pretty disappointed. But, I might as well get used to the days of SixFlags thinking about coaster enthusiasts being over.
Oh and heres a good tip. If you go to CP for halloween go the 3rd weekend. Its usually the less crowded. Last year on the sunday of that weekend Millie's line never exceeded 15 mins all day. I got my first front row ride in. And many, many, many other rides in other rows.
I'd like to know where you are getting your info. Because if it's from the site I think you are thinking of, it hasn't been posted on there for the past couple of years, but it's still been happening, so that is just conclusion jumping. Secondly, read the previous posts about FF. It isn't being as lamed down as people keep saying it is.
I would put money on it being there. It draws too big a crowd for it to be gotten rid of. Oh yeah. And Fright Fest is better than Halloweekends. Just because I said so. Tada.
