Lift Hill Work Being Done on American Eagle

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby [jonrev] on March 3rd, 2006, 4:22 pm
Drkstarbrd (did I spell that right?) told me this in the chatroom the other day so I went to have a look.

My guess is it's retracking since there's piles of wood on the lift.

Wow, that's always great to see them taking care of older rides. Eagle is one of my favorites in the park and it's nice to know its not going anywhere anytime soon.

The Eagle really deserves this kind of attention since this will be its 25th year of operation.

I believe they retracked the blue lift and first drop last year. Logic would dictate that it's red's turn this off season.

I'm guessing they only didn't one side before. Now they are doing the other. :?

^My best guess is...no.

I'm very pleased to see Red side getting it's turn.
You could obviously see the difference from the station and basically everywhere else. It looked hideous.

Hopefully the whole ride will be looking sexy soon.

I think that's the thing at the start of the 540 degree helix. I've never heard that term used before, though.

The white thing looks like a crane to me.......to get wood up there maybe?
Ahh the rain drop, the perfect aerodynamic shape. It is actually formed by the air around it.

Its a crane to get wood up there and the new tracks maybe thats why the ride had a lot of down time last year because it needed to be retract and fixed I hope they repaint eagle too that would make it like new for their 30th.
