Its a longer pole on top, with about 4-5 wires running down like a christmas tree form from the top of the pole, to the top of Sky Trek. I first noticed it heading northbound, and thought it was a cone. Am I going insane, and haven't noticed that before, or is it something new?
Thats pretty neat, I have never seen a Christmas tree up there before. How do they keep the monkey on there for fright fest? Do they use ropes or something like that?
Galvan, are you sure? I didn't even see the little christmas tree on the helix on the American Eagle this year, and I could swear that the 20-30 times I have driven by the park during the holiday season, that stuff was not there.
http://themeparkcritic.com/scripts/profile/ViewProfile.asp?ViewID=2909 A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!
The Christmas tree isn't much of a Christmas tree anymore. It used to be all green lights running from the top of the pole to the tower, but since 2001 they have been red, white, and blue lights. It's more patriotic, plus it keeps from being too denominational (which was never a problem in my opinion).

Why, that "monkey" holds on for dear life! I believe it is a gorilla, someone correct me if I'm wrong. W00dland should know all about that. Seriously, though, it is attached to the tower with belts of some sort (think of seat belt material like in your car). Contrary to popular belief, it is not standing on top of the red cabin.
