Has anyone here ever tried this? I have never seen anybody on it before.

Also, do you have to pay extra to do it or is it free with admission?

Yes I have tried it. There is an upcharge but there is a coupon in the book that comes with season passes. It is $30 for 1 person, $40 for 2 people, and $45 dollars for three people.

^OMG! Forget that. I thought maybe 3-5 dollars extra. But again, do many people actually do this?

If not, its just sitting there. Its on a decent size peice of land too. It would make a nice family area with a good sized family coaster.

There is a decent amount of people who do it. There are usually about 50-70 flights a day (a little less on some weekdays but a good amount more on weekends). So that is between $1500 and $3500 a day if they are all single flights, but usually the flights are either double or triple.

Also it might not be that easy to put a coaster in there because it is in the middle of Raceway. There used to be a flat there though.

Wow, then forget my lame idea. I see your point there. Hopefully I can see someone do it this year and maybe Ill give it a try, but I doubt it.

That ride you are thinking of is the Ricochet. They moved it to Southwest Territory in 96 and openned DDD in 97. I have been on it twice. Once with a close friend and once with my little brother. It really isn't that thrilling and i can't see paying for it myself ( I only payed the first time with the girl). I think it might be better to put a Slingshot upcharge ride there instead. Those, from what i have heard, are much more intense.

Many people think that DDD is very thrilling and I know some people who think of it as their favorite ride and some people who make sure they ride it every time they come to the park. If you have never been on a Slingshot you have no way of knowing if it is more intense.

DDD is cool, I was EXTREMELY scared my first time on it though. Once SFGAm opens I'll be sure to get on it again at some point. I do remember though that it was a bit boring after the first drop. The first drop is just completely intense and scary.

Seems a bit expensive to me. I think Skyscraper at Timber Falls Adventure Park gives you the same thrill for a cheaper price.

Well, the price is a little high for what you receive from it, but looking at it without thinking about the price, it was a pretty decent experience.
