2006 Goals

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Sedir on January 31st, 2006, 6:54 pm
So there's still some time left to the offseason but I bet some of us have already been thinking of our goals for the season. So what are your goals?

One of mine would be to finally do Dare Devil Dive.

I have alot, one of them being to finally ride Vu and V2, both of which I avoided because of the long lines. And of course to ride RB and Giant Drop as much as possible, and maybe try out the tornado. I just plan to go alot of times this season, and for once go on opening day.
I'm running to Bull on opening day, anyone gets in my way and they'll get trampled.

On South Padre Island off the coast of Texas there is a bungee center and i did a sky coaster there and it was ALOT taller than DDD and it was nothing cause compared to Bull, V2 and the others it was a baby ride and it was taller than DDD so i can imagine how easy DDD is. (no offense to DDD)

The only scary part even though there really is none is the first drop then the rest is a joy ride.

Ride Demon entirely asleep
Ride V2 Backrow and not scream during launch (i'm not scared, but for some reason I always do backrow)
Ride Batman backrow and not Blackout
Ride Ragin Cajun and not get disoriented
Ride Superman without yelling "this ride sucks"
Ride Iron Wolf frontrow without getting my midsection hurt by the corkscrew
Ride American Eagle forwards, backrow, new train, at night, with my girlfriend in the seat next to me. Same for Eagle Backwards
Ride DejaVu 1A without thinking i'm going to hit a pole
Ride Viper backrow, in the rain, at night, with my girlfriend in the seat next
Ride Raging Bull, backrow, and scream, "I'm RICK JAMES, biatch" to the people in line
Ride Whizzer, midrow, with my girlfriend and make that "one special kiss"
Ride SSR with my 3 year old little brother and have him say "I wanna ride that again!"

After last year, I don't go for statistics anymore.

I hope to...

Make sure that Vertical Velocity is my first ride of the season in back row.
Ride Deja Vu in 1A again, I only did it once and absolutely loved it.
Use all of the coupons in my season pass book.
Go to Hurricane Harbor again, I only spent about 4 hours total there this year and wish that i could have spent more.
Finally achieve a triple flip on Turbo Bungy.
Continue to morph my girlfriend into a coaster loving woman. 8)
Give American Eagle Backwards and Iron Wolf another chance.
Ride Raging Bull as my last coaster and Sky Trek Tower as my last thing of the season.

I also want to keep going with my brother and his friend who has motion sickness. The kid gives me the chance to enjoy myself at the park without riding as many coasters and thrill rides that i can. This would include seeing more shows and eating more dippin dots.

Finally, this year, my goal is not to almost get arrested like last year at the park.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter :(

one of my goals is to ride the following coasters in one day...
American Eagle(Red and Blue)
Batman The Ride
Deja Vu
Demon
Iron Wolf
Raging Bull
Ragin' Cajun
Superman Ultimate Flight
Vertical Velocity
Viper

I've done it before in 2003....and came close to it last year....
and have time for re-rides...I would have to use Fastlane to be able to pull of something of this magnatude....

Lets see...

Now that I've really sat down and thought about it, I don't think I've ever ridden every coaster in the park in the same day. I realize this now because of the tons of times I visited GAm, I've only ridden Deja Vu three times, and each of those times that DV was open, one of the other coasters was closed.
So that's goal #1: To ride every single coaster in the park in the same day.

#2 is to finally ride the one ride in the park that I've never been on: Big Easy Balloons.(not counting kiddy or upcharge rides)

#3: Try to visit Hurricane Harbor this year.
Finally Coaster Season!!

Mine would be:
Go on more than just the coasters when you visit
Get around to riding Giant Drop
Ride Iron Wolf
Visit the water park for more than 20 minutes
Ride every coaster in one trip
...and I think that is all.

Yes. If you go early in the morning during the first few weekends of the season, you can re-ride because there are no lines. Or during buyouts.

Ha, that's the only ride I haven't ridden either

I too would also like to spend my time in hurricane harbor, when I went I only got on the wahoo racers and spent a few minutes in the wave pool.
