Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
There was the brand new area themed to "Mardi Gras".
A new roller coaster in the form of Ragin' Cajun.
And, compared to today, there was no trace of Hurricane Harbor, the Parking lot was crumbling, and Shockwave still existed on the hills.
It's time to take a trip back in the SFGAmWorld Time Machine (Patents Pending) and look back to May 2004 with a complete ride thru of Sky Trek Tower.
Enjoy.

I was wondering that too. I think that video may've been shot on opening day. None of the Mardi Gras rides were done yet.
Do you have any other old videos of SFGAm?

The Sky Trek Tower video appears to be from the second weekend (May 8th or 9th). Ragin' Cajun only has the station track and the turn by the station. Also, you can see that Orleans Place was repaved. Orleans Place still had old pavement on opening day in 2004.

that's cool, that was before the horrible backups on the 294 to get onto grand avenue. That was before the horrible back lot. That's a cool video though.
