With the talk that people continue with on wishing that Shockwave could be brought back in place of Sups do you think that S:UF is the most underrated ride at GAm? If not which ride do you think is most underapprciated?
Also, if you could design a Beemer style flying coaster what elements, height, etc would you want. That is, how would you redesign Sups if you were to build it from scratch? And, given current tech and the position you're in with a flying coaster could they even do much more with a flyer?

American Eagle
http://themeparkcritic.com/scripts/profile/ViewProfile.asp?ViewID=2909 A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!
Interacting with the park, instead of just plopping down a short, simple layout.
I wish they planned out a custom instead of just buying a clone.
OMG...youre totally right, Ill look at AIR and just think about how SUP was a clone(which is something we dont really ever do..?) I love how after airs first drop it flips you on your back the way it does.
If we could keep the drop and pretzel loop then add airs layout to it, it would be much better +a corkscrew
S:UF gets boring after about 3 rides. It needs to be longer, taller, faster and have more inversions. Definetly not worth taking Shockwave or even considering taking Whizzer.
I agree with Jon, S:UF does get boring after it awhile and it gives me a headache, well Shockwave was worse but it was fun after awhile S:UF will make you sick and i don't like it as much as Shockwave.
Going back to the original topic, i think that out of people in the area, Ragin' Cajun is the most underated. It is so much fun, i don't understand why people don't acknowledge it. However, as a nation, Raging Bull, Viper, and Vertical Velocity don't get anywhere near the amount of attention they deserve. Raging Bull especially.

SUF was fine when it was new; media day was a blast. However, I feel it is now nothing more than a "one-trick pony", and I can either take it or leave it. It is, without question, the weakest B&M ride at Great America. If it were taller, longer, and faster, it would be somewhat better, but the "flying" configuration of the trains might be too intense if the ride were faster. I miss ShockWave terribly, and the park now needs a new multi-inversion ride. B&M could design something spectacular and put it where SUF is, and give SUF to a park that needs a "new" attraction. I would also say that the site of the Demon could be given over to a larger, more intense ride. As far as the most underrated coaster, I would have to say that is Viper, because it is a truly wonderful wooden coaster, one of the best in the USA, and it gets so little recognition from the media and the general public. It is my absolute favorite coaster at Great America, and try to never miss it when I visit the park!
We should all remember to be thankful to have a world-class theme park like Six Flags Great America here in our local area!
Superman was fun the first time, but now it is boring and too short. The only decent thing is the pretzel loop. I never got to ride Shockwave, but from what I've heard it was brutal.
As for underated coasters, I would say American Eagle. A lot of people thinks it's lame, but I think it may be one of the best coasters in the park, along with Raging Bull and Batman.
in my opinion, flying coasters are one time that Vekoma beats B&M. Beemers are smoother, but Flying Dutch are much more intense and exciting.
I do agree that Air works better with its terrain than SUF, but not as good as Nemesis, in my opinion. Also, unless Alton T fixed their tunnel on Air since the last time I was on they really need to do something with the tunnel (some fog or light effects would be cool). And, I wouldn't call SUF a clone of Air.
Given that B&M really hasn't taken flying coasters beyond SFGAm's (we have the longest one thus far and are tied with everyone else for the most invesions in a B&M flyer) it will be interesting to see if B&M comes up with something new for SFMM.
I am so MAD that they didn't put SUF in Whizzer's spot. That was a huge mistake. I'm so mad at those retards who complained. Just think we would have a much better park. I always loved coming to Great America and seeing Shochwave right by the parking lot. Superman is way smaller and it don't look as cool. And superman would be a much better ride if it was in Whizzer's spot.
I think that the next flying coaster should be like this. 135 foot drop and then go right into a larger pretzel loop. Then have a zero g roll. Then have a turn around and go into a inside verticle loop like on the vekoma flyiers. Then it should have a mid course break so it could have 3 trains. going. Then it should swoop down and have interlocking corkscrews. I don't know if that is possible if your on the outside but if it is then they should do it, and if it isn't possible then they should have you on the inside. That would be an awesome coaster.
Hey has anyone noticed that on RCDB it shows that all 3 different Superman Ultimate Flight clones have different statistics. I quess that our SUF is the longest but has the slowest loading. I don't know if that is true. Weird.
SFGAm top 4 Coasters
1. Raging Bull
2. Vertical Velocity
3. Batman The Ride
4. Superman
Your name calling is doing nothing. The decision was the right one, compare Whizzer to Shockwave. Which one had greater attendance? Whizzer. So why would the park want to take out the more popular coaster?
Gansta Fruit 26, just to let you know, i was one of those "retards" you were refering to. The land would have been nicer, but there were plenty of ways to making the current SUF's location cool. For example, they could have made it fly through a city by building fake buildings and other things. It had potential in Shockwave's spot of having amazing landscape, they just weren't creative enough.
As far as the Whizzer goes, more and more i am realizing that THAT is the most underappreciated ride in the park. I think it is safe to assume that most people on this site, including me, started off with and grew up with this roller coaster. It is still pretty smooth, VERY comfy, and fun to enjoy, despite the fact that it is almost 30 years old. Some people don't appreciate nostalgia, and i think that is a shame because that coaster started it off for the park we have today.
