How is V2?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I have been to sfga about 3 times since vertical velocity opened and for some strange reason, it has been closed each time I went and I have never gotten to ride it. I just wanted to know what you guys thought of it? I have had the whole launch experience many times before at rock n roller coaster in disney. I know that part is awesome.

V2 is the bomb, it's so awesome. I love that ride, it's awesome how it shoots you out of the station at 75 mph right away it's totally the bomb, you go up the corkscrew 3 times and at the 3rd time on the straight part of it, it gets "stuck" for 3 seconds then let's you go you'd like it alot, i've been on it 8 times ever since it opened.

i think it's boring and not worth mire than a 10 minute wait, but that's just my opinion.
i'm rocking the suburbs, just like quiet riot did...

I think Deja Vu is ok but it sucks it's never open and it gives me a bad headache, but V2 rocks.

Yawn . . .

I have more fun on Spacely Sprocket Rockets than I do on Vertical Velocity. Vertical Velocity is just too repetitive. Going back and forth 3 times really isnt that exciting.

Dejavu has also been closed everytime I was there.

I am hoping v2 will be open when I go on a school field trip in the spring so then I can ride it all day. Im definitely taking front row.

Ah, another thread on V2....thats okay I constantly bring up "possible" ideas, and people dont like that very much but my imagination runs wild!

Definatley go for first or second row or else you dont get the twist as well 8)
Well since VERTICAL VELOCITY opened in 2001 I know I have to of been on it far more than 20 times and its fun, exciting, and impulsive. Now though I wish it was more like WICKED TWISTER at cedar point though cause V2 just isnt as exciting as it used to be. The holding brake is the one part I anticipate to happen.

The braking part is cool. I also agree that it should be like wicked twister.

i always use fastlane. The wait is long enough the way it is in the station.

I think that V2 is a great ride. I love It. It's my second favorite at Great America. I do wish though that the launch was more intense. After the first 3/4 of a second on the launch it gets weak. You don't even feel any g's after the first 3/4 of a second. I mean it only makes it like half way up after the first tower after the first launch. Everything is great about V2, But I just wish that the launch was a bit more intense.

Everyone says that Wicked Twister is better because of the 2 twisted spikes. Well I think that the straight part is better. It is just pure weightlessness on the back row on the straight track. And the holding break is awesome.

So if you ever get to ride V2 you should definantly ride the front or back row.

Two words.

IT SUCKS!
"There should be a B.O. squad that patrols the city like a "Smell Gestapo". To sniff 'em out, strip 'em down, and wash them with a big, soapy brush..."

The coaster then gains speed when it goes back and forth.

I have been on Rock'n Roller Coaster also and the launch on V2 is nothing like it. On V2, i actually have to tell my self to lean back it is so much more forceful than rock'n roller coaster. The brake on the second tower is the best part of the ride, therefore, in my opinion, back row is better. Whoever said it's boring and that it stinks, i don't know how they could think that. IT ROCKS!

I wonder if that comment was directed towards me.
It's been a lifetime, get over it.

As far as V2 goes. It's an okay ride. I really only ride it in may when there are no lines. But It's fun to do a couple of times a year. Not a must-ride in my opinion.
