Im so "jealous" about other parks themed territories that I was wondering what else we could possibly have? Now if you havent noticed we're "great america" and all our territories are part of america. The main ones im jealous of are SFGAD & SFMM's territories like the new plaza delcarnaval, samuri summit, and golden kingdom. So much beautiful theming can come with these sections.
The only ones I can think for new expansions would be THE OPEN RANGE, a territory devoted to montana, minnesota, etc. or RED WOOD FOREST, a section for the famous redwoods/sequoias of california... ? If SixFlags changed to SIXFLAGS GREAT AMERICAS then it would make it so much easier and interesting
We dont have the room for more sections, the only way we get new themed aeras is when they cut an aera in half. I like the idea of the sections i think they should put some effort into makign those areas come to life. Cause what are you honostly going to do with red wood forest have a walk through forrest? The open range is to close to south west territory any way.
The red woods could symbolize a new taller ride, spring off into the whole camp like wilderness theme! You should just use your imagination! Go to screamscape.com and in one of the news/rumors sections there is a topic about GREAT AMERICA, and it gives arial pics of the park...theres quite some land around there. I think the road going into AmereicanEagle should be dug up and a really nice wooden Hybrid could run along AE and then dive into it where the road is now, seeing theres a big gap for it there oooh that would be sweet, it would just be a nice "stroll" to get there thats all
I don't think that digging up that road, is such a good idea. Look at
what has happened this season with only one exit! On the busiest
of days, it took a long time to exit the park, with only 1 exit at the
end of the night.
The only space that they can really add a new section, is to relocate
the Employee Parking Lot, which, Six Flags, probably won't do. I
have ideas on what they can do, but they would never do them!
"The world of politics is filled with uncivilized, snarling, rapacious beasts that, like untrained mutts, raise their legs and urinate on everything we hold dear," - Michael Savage
Well they really can't relocate the employee parking lot without removing wardrobe. When you go up the Iron Wolf lift, look to your RIGHT(can't tell my left from right these days)....there is a HUGE building there, that's what they called wardrobe when I worked there. Although the employees have their own uniforms now, when I worked there they still had costumes, and you weren't allowed to take them home. They laundered them there and you left your street clothes in a locker. But I am still sure that the employees still use the lockers for purses and other personal items that you aren't allowed to take into the park. So that would be an enormous undertaking.
Welcome to ShockWave please pull your harness down as far as it will go. While riding ShockWave please keep your hands and feet inside the car, and your head against the headrest, please hold on to all loose articles, especially hats and glasses. Enjoy your ride!
I don't know, at this point, I think space is more important than anything to our park right now. The building looks to be basic aluminum (or similar metal) with a pretty basic roof. It would think could easily be rebuilt somewhere else. It looks like they've got trailers for the training rooms down there, so it would be really easy to move those.
YEAH! I always look at that hill and just dream away. Where shockwaves parts were was/is a great little plot a' land.
I've always wished that a beautiful strata would sit there. Each side of track would sit on the sides of the hill, with the "bump" or top of the hill in the middle of it so it wouldnt have to be really dug up. This I aways hoped would keep it from restricted air space too Oh how I wish
Hometown Square wont be going anywhere, they will probably re-do some of it and continue to give it new paint and add new rides there to replace old ones.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
Six Flags should be perfectly fine with just one exit. Anyone who goes to a Sox game or a Wolves game knows that it takes a while to leave and if they don't want to wait, they leave earlier. Simple as that, six flags is no different if they don't want to wait, leave. That road that leads towards Eagle can be used for Hurricane Harbor expansion and possibly a new ride/coaster for the main park. The park is just going to have to get more creative as space is slowely disappearing.
As far as themeing goes, i think Orleans Place would be the first to go. Especially after the hurricane, i don't see them keeping the themeing. It still looks run down (minus Mardi Gras) and Superman doesn't fit the theme at all. That would be my guess rather than Hometown Square. Hometown Square is at least appealing to walk through.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
Mardi Gras is not part of Orleans Place. Secondly, what does Orleans Place have to do with hurricanes? Oh, but Hurricane Harbor will keep its name? I just don't get it.
I had an idea the other night (totally just in my imagination, I know it probably won't ever happen) of a space themed section. Like outer space. I was half-asleep so it probably sounds stupid now, but oh well.
^ I know Mardi Gras is not part of Orleans Place, i just ment that it branches off from Orleans Place and looks nice. As far the hurricane thing, i was thinking that since they have to rebuild the town anyway that the themeing could match the rebuilt town of New Orleans. That's all i ment.

While its a great idea, it will never happen. That hill is a sound berm for the houses that are located directly behind it. Those people throw fits when anything new is built in the park, even if its not anywhere close to them. Six Flags would most likely not even be able to recieve building permits because of the hissy fit they would throw about the "noise".
