SFGAm Commercials?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby SFGA 11 on June 5th, 2003, 11:03 am
I'm getting pretty tired of these S:UF commercials , are they gonna have a commercial for the park and the other rides? I hope they do. When Deja Vu and V2 opened I remember they had normal T.V commercials that werent just for the ride.

The thing that kind of irritates me is that the commercials aren't even of our S:UF! You can tell by the surrounding landscape, the lack of rides in the background, and the diferece in the style of the ride marquee. Now, maybe it's just me, but I think it would be a better ad if they actually showed the coaster in its place in OUR park.

Yes, I agree. There is no footage of SFGAm in the SFGAm commercial!

I don't now I have not been there in a long time. Is there grass or any senary up yet. This is just me talking but I wouldn't want to show a ride if there is only dirt or gravel. I would want it all full of grass and fully decorated. But Like I said I have not gone there in a long time so I don't now if there is any grass.Sorry if I sound rude or any thing. Sorry if I make any one mad. :(

I've seen a little bit of grass here and there. There's a few trees, too.

Ive seen the commercial about 50 times already and I got sick of it when I saw it the 10th time. I wish they make a new So Big So Close one. I never got sick of that commercial.

The S:UF commercial does get old, but the Empire Carpet/SFGAm commercial will get old in a matter of days now.

I noticed that in the Empire commercial instead of saying Six Flags Great America, it says Six Flags Great Adventure. I found that odd because it's played in the Chicago area and SFGAdv is in New Jersey.

I'll have to check out for the Great Adventure mishap, if that's what happened. I only caught the middle-to-end, where the people were singing the phone-number and the Empire guy was hugging something(wasn't paying attention and had my glasses off).

At least you guys have some sort of commercial. Be happy with that! I didn't see commercials for a while for SFWoA, but the one we have now is pretty darn good.

In the Empire commercial they say Great America. Maybe you just heard it wrong.

in my opinion; it may be a sucky commercial, but I'm glad there is a commercial. I believe this was the same way when RB came out. All they had advertised was for that the whole season, but at least it was RB and not some other coaster. But I agree that there should be a general commercial for just the whole theme park.

I liked last year's commercials... I liked how each one featured a different song. (Titiyo - Come Along, Beth Hart - Delicious Surprise, Uncle Kracker - Keep it Coming) etc. etc...

I just saw the Emire commercial, but I couldn't tell, in the commercial is it footage of S:UF at SFGam or SFGAdv?

Actually, I would guess it is footage from SFOG... That's what I would guess, but maybe I'm wrong. Their Superman:UF has been open longest so it's probably the one.

Maybe your wish will come true coasterswimgurl12. At least it did for me. Today (6.9.03) i saw a Coca-Cola commercial advertising the whole park. Not even most of the coasters, but even some water rides were advertised in it also.

That's awesome! But it is a shame I will never get to see these commercials unless they are posted on the internet. It's no fair you guys get to see the CP commercials. :(

Empire is usually good at filming footage of the park. So, I'm guessing the S:UF segment was at SFGAm, but I'll have to check it out again to make sure.

Yeah, I remember last years Empire commercials had some of the best footage of Shockwave I had ever seen. Also, great footage of other coasters as well.

I caught the tail-end of the Empire/SFGAm commercial, and I did hear Empire Man say Great Adventure this time around, not Great America. Perhaps there are two versions of the commercial in cycle.
