I found this out, whenever you see someone stuck(or your stuck) On triple play. There is a little button at the bottom of the ride that opens the lapbar. I helped 3 people[/u]
Giant drop is the best ride ever!

Same.

I agree. Flat rides have the more obvious places for the release button. If youre not sure where the button is just watch a ride operator get someone out.
more difficult one is Orbit, which I released the hood after the person in front of me barfed out the side of the car (towards the center of the ride), before the ride was even half loaded. Wasnt going to sit behind them
(I wont give that trick away though, mechanical inclination is needed, plus it can be dangerous) if done any time when the operator's key is in the panel.

Nothing happens on Orbit if you manually open a car while the operator key is in the panel. All that will happen is the panel will indicate that not all cars are locked. (If even one is open, then the "cabins locked" light turns off). So, if the ride hasn't started and they are loading and you do that, it is no biggie.
Plus, if you want to learn how to unlock cabins on that ride (which is an absolutely horrible design to be able to do it without the use of the key they use), just watch some operators. I recommend you do not, though.
well, thing I was getting at, is if it's done, it's best not to do it when the operator is at the controls, as if the ride is started and the door opens there are emergency brakes and in a hydraulic system an E-stop is not a great thing for the ride (I could care less about someone who opens their door if the ride is running, they fully deserve the impending pavement, and hopefully they cant be saved)

Sadly, as a former operator of the ride, the most that happens when a door opens is the operator is notified via "trouble" and nothing past that happens. Unless they have changed it, then that's all there is. Like I said before, Orbit has some mechanical problems that should be worked out.
If, however, the operator is outstanding, and they notice their panel has a dimmed "cabins locked" light, they will know that they need to stop the ride and call it in immediately. However, most operators will only see the trouble (mostly because that is all they get) and won't find out what caused it until maintainence arrives.
On the bright side, however, the person who opens their cabin door probably will not be able to do much more than unlock it. Some people put a lot of effort into getting that thing open at the end of the ride, lol. So, spinning would add just that extra "umph" to get it there. Plus, by that point, the operators would have noticed and begun to stop the ride.
One other thing to keep in mind about flat rides: e-stops cut power. This also means that brakes on rotating rides will only work if they close before their power is cut. An E-stop is generally not used to stop a ride quickly, but more to shut off the power to a ride for an electrical or mechanical problem.
