Just looking for different pictures of GAm in the past, I happened to come across a 1982 Park Map of GAm. It's amazing how much GAm has grown since it opened, and has become one of the best parks in the World! Does anyone here have any great memories from Great america? Here is the 1982 map: http://home.attbi.com/~geoff2222/sfgam/82map.htmlHere is the 2001 map: http://www.themeparkbrochures.com/maps/2001/sfgam2001.html

Wow. It is amazing how the park has grown so much... I only started going there in 2000, so I don't really have any 'old' memories.

It's amazing how Marriott's sells it to SF and it changed so much. I wasn't alive, or old enough to remember, Marriott's owning it. I do see, however, that SF really expanded to park to include Southwest territory. Looks like it was a good park and only continued to improve.

Yeah, we're pretty fortunate to have one of the "nicer" Six Flags theme parks. I have a few pictures from when it was Marriott's. They're my mom's pictures, they're pretty cool though.

Yes you can call yourself very fortunate. Honestly, I would drive the extra 16 hour trip to come to your park one day over the 1 hour round tirp to SFWoA. That is how bad it is getting for us. "You might just be getting a hyper SFWoA!" "Oh wait, now you aren't because attendance was down because you cut your daily operation time in half and your workers suck, maybe next year!"
