According to the weather channel, it is supposed to rain on the 9th and be party cloudy on the 10th. Both days the high will be 70 and the low will be 55. Which day should I go to hurricane harbor and which day should i go to Great America?
All I can say is that I never look more than a week ahead for weather, if that. I highly doubt that the weather will be like that for those days. However, I would go to HH on the day that it is colder because it would probably be less busy.

I don't know HH's policy on rain, but if there is lightning you bet it will be closed, but then again, the park will be closed as well too. This time of the year, it never really rains all day, so the showers would just be temporary.
And HH has been open for 1 weekend. It's IMPOSSIBLE to judge how crowded HH will be on weekdays, rainy days, cold days, hot days, etc. Wait a bit and just see how the trip reports come back. People will be commenting on how crowded the park is as well as HH.
Unless it is a very light shower, they try not to keep them open (from what I've seen and heard). Light rain shuts down Whizzer and Iron wolf. Moderate rain shuts down most rollercoasters with exposed braking mechanisms. I've only seen batman operate in a somewhat steady rain and even that got shut down after 5 min of it.
I'm sure greatamerica2003 could explain a little more in detail.
Light sprinkles in June/July are rare, most rain comes in the form of thunderstorms or large convective systems that dump large amounts of rain in a short time.
Only really heavy stuff and high winds. Usually they give a 30 minute warning anouncement before it's about to come. Go to HH on the nice day and go to SFGAM on the rainy day. Also go to SFGAM before and after HH opens and closes.
Well, according to the park, Deja Vu, Ragin' Cajun, Whizzer, and Iron Wolf (sometimes) cannot operate in the rain. Most rides will close in heavy rain, but moderate rain will allow some coasters to remain open.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
Well, Iron Wolf closes in most rain because of the tire drive system in the station. Rubber on wet metal doesn't stop very well and Iron Wolf will often mispark to slide through the station too far.
