Sevart said on our tour that they were indeed going to renovate at least 1 bathroom this year in the park. He seemed dissapoined in the lack of quality blowdriers around the park.
I think that the bathrooms are pleantiful (thats a good thing- and as Chitown says "Thank Marriott next time your running into the bathroom"). As for quality, I don't have any complaints. Considering the number of guests and the way that some people act, I'm surprised I haven't seen a bathroom in really poor condition.
I think some of SFGAm's bathrooms could use a remodel like some of them saw a few years back. Though Ron Sevart said the one by Orbit is being redone this year. Design is tested and proven, but physically the bathrooms have aged quite alot.
On the plus side SFGAm painted over the orange stall wall years and years ago, whereas PGA kept them. Orange Bathroom stall walls just put to much pressure on in that situation

There are almost too many bathrooms. The bathroom near Hometown Park is really not needed. Its also in a bad location. The other one that is hidden, and usually not packed is the one by Funnel Cake Foundary, near the train station in County Fair. The other ones are fine with me.
In HH they need better signage to show where the changing room is. I went to go use the washroom and saw there was a line for the stalls. I said out loud that the changing rooms where next door and all of the line left.

Mr. Sevart has a good point about the hand dryers. If they don't work well, people won't use them and that often means they aren't even washing their hands. I've been to several places that have the 'Turbo Dryers" like he wants to install.
Other than that the bathrooms are in better shape than a lot of places and the majority of them are air conditioned also.
The bathrooms near the Merry-Go-Round in the front of the park used to be the absolute worst in all of Lake County. The air would be nothing but a stench even with a pad or two of freshner inside the a/c! I honestly don't know its condition lately but I know it received a makeover. The small one on the other side of the main gate, by contrast, wasn't in bad shape at all.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.
