Anybody think that they know what days will be good to go to the park and what days will be good to go to the water park?

I'm thinking that memorial day might be a good day to go to the park. Because everyone would be too distracted by the water park.

I don't know. I don't think that people are going to go to Six Flags and stick just to the waterpark. If you have access to the waterpark AND the main park why wouldn't you want to go ride a few coasters.

Memorial Day weekend has always been packed. It's the first day of summer (well in popular culture-not astronomically). I've been to the park the past few Memorial Days and it's always been full.

I have always heard that Tuesday's and Thursday's are the best days to go, although I've never really seen any truth to that. The best days are probably going to be weekends in May and early weekdays.

A good way to get ideas of how crowded the park was is to read the old trip reports. I've used them in trying to find out how crowded the park was last year on certain dates.

From the 39 visits last year, all I can say is that Tuesdays (on average) is the least crowded, but it is hard to tell. Just do NOT go on the last week of Read to Succeed, I made that mistake last year, full queue everything, the park hit maximum capacity.

^ I made that mistake too in 2003... it was a Monday and a Tuesday we were there, and both days by 1pm, the big freeway sign read "Park Full: Come Back Another Day". We found out what it's like to wait 1 hour for the Demon.
Finally Coaster Season!!

Well I don't want to give away all of the good days. There are also good times to hit each ride. I would suggest opening day, labor day, columbus day, and closing day. May is also usually pretty good. And weekdays are nice during the summer. If you go enough you'll figure it all out. It depends on what rides you like to ride the most. I usally ride Dejavu at night and in the morning. I usually ride the eagle before I go to Dejavu for my last rides and V2 before that. I have goals set on how many times I want to get on each ride, and V2, Dejavu, American Eagle, Raging Bull, and Viper are on my top 5, so I ride those the most.

I went columbus day last year. It wasn't exactly empty, but it wasn't even close to packed either.
Although that was probably because of those coupons taco bell was giving out. (By one ticket get one free.) Tons of people that had more than enough, kept offering us those coupons.
