I was just in the park a couple hours...Going tomorrow (Sunday) for the full day. I just stopped in since I got into town early so I could buy a parking sticker.
The only things I saw closed were Condor( still being refurbed), Blue side of American Eagle and King Chaos. Everything else I saw and looked for were running with max trains. Water rides were open despite cool temps.
Quite a bit of construction going on throughout the park. New ride booths going in at SW Territory entrance before you get to Viper. It also looks like the entrance path for HH goes through that area.
Part of Famers Market being redone also. Virtual Reality "rides" gone from from AE que area also.
The shooting gallery in SW Territory was boarded up but they added a different one across from the Crazy Buffalo Saloon area. They also added more sketch artists in from of Crazy Buffalo.
The repaved parking area is great!
HH still has a very long way to go, An uninformed opinion wold say no way it opens on May 28 but the park folks know the schedule and insist it's on target.
Cool day, breezy and light crowds. Most things were a walk-on or near walk-on.
^ You pretty much covered it, but Ill add a little more of what I saw.
Two new game shave been added to HTS, one where the fountain used to be and by Turbo Bungy, and the climbing net wall thing was turned around. It also appeared that there is going to be another game added near the Chicken Place. Also, there was a cool fountain added to the water near Deja Vu and HTP.
Deja Vu was running and appeared to have been painted in some spots. HH construction is looking great. The park looked great except there was very little landscaping, probably because it is still cold outside.
Yeah crowds where light today. The longest line in the park was the season pass picture line. I was able to ride on all the coasters. not a long wait for any of them. I have updated my WWW link bellow with new photos, enjoy.
It seemed all service lines (season pass purchasing, season pass processing, parking pass processing, and etc.) were exceedingly long and underworked today. However lines for rides were short, my longest wait being about 10-15 minutes to get on the first row of Batman being that DejaVu was my first ride of the day.
Park looked good, employees and ride ops actually talked to you and crowds were light, sounds like a good opening day to me. Deja Vu ran well all day along with most of the rest of the coasters. Park was so dead that I stayed on Superman 4 times without needing to get off. I noticed Batman and Viper having empty stations on more than 1 occasion. There aren't any spiels yet for STT or the Train but I'm sure they will come with info about HH. AEB had what looked like a train on the transfer track but it wasn't assemled together yet, just 5 cars near eachother. Bull ran 3 trains for a few hours then put the red one away and ran yellow and teal the rest of the day, RC ran 4 cars all day and everything else ran full capacity.

Huh? Are you joking? Or are you serious, I cant tell lol. Because I was there and didnt notice it, I dont know how I could have missed something that big if your not joking
It was a great day. Nice weather, although it got really cold in the evening... I was happy to see that Vu ran all day, and that I actually got on it 7 or 8 times. SUF was acting like the ol' DV. I went on 36 rides, longest wait was for Cajun, 40 minutes only because there was a 20 minute break down. Everything else was 15-20 minutes or less.
Ok I have a question, in this pic of Hurricane Harbor http://community.webshots.com/photo/102 ... 4673GYlUOH there is a picture of a lone pool in between the lazy river. What is it for? There even appears to be a curved section in it on the end for an end of a slide piece.

I see the lone pool you speak of (link didn't work, I went back and numbered all the pics). I am not sure what it is. you can see it in photo #18. That little pool is not on the park map. It would be cool if they decided to put in a Tornado slide as well.
I can't wait to be flushed down those huge toilet bowl slides

Everyone has pretty much covered the day already on previous posts.. Vu was great, got to ride 1a as 2 riders in the morning, it looked like the red trains of eagle were painted with new floors too. Bonus!.. and of course.. lots of work on the HH area.. There are bulidings going up by the bridge leading to Southwest Territory too... I will have photos up on the site in the next few days of that area and construction.

Looking like a major storm forming for '06....
I had a sneaking suspicion that it might be for a Tornado slide for next year. I guess we'll have to wait and see. It seems kind of weird though that they built the pool right now instead of next year.
