How long will it take for Mr. Six to lose his popularity?
I think that it will be about 5-10 years. They finally have a good advertisement, but after 5-10 years, it will get old, and then they should just have some new commercials for a few years, and then come up with another popular one that will last another 5 years.
Well considering many people recognized Mr.Six this afternoon, I think it all really depends. He won't last forever, that is for sure. But when these little kids realized what we were dressed up as today, the were really excited.
I'll say 3-4 years though. He will get old eventually.
Well technop, i'm talking about mr. six losing his popularity to the GP. Alot of the Coaster Enthusiest's and people who go to the SF parks alot will lose popularity faster, because they see and hear the Mr. Six music and commercials alot more, because they go to the websites and the events more often that the GP.
I said three to four years. I think he is getting old now, but he's a good advertisement for the park. I think he's probably got a 50-50 feel with the crowd. Half of us are sick of him, and half of us find him entertaining.
Does anybody remember those singing monkey hampsters for Quiznos last year? They were the talk of the town, kinda like mr. six. After a year have you heard about 'em since? My point is Mr. Six will probally lose his popularity after this season

Mr. Six will be dead in 6 years, he is still very popular among the people and will stay that way, as long as Six Flags can keep new advertisements with Mr. Six in it fresh and unique. However, that can only last so long, that is why I say six years. Six Flags will play this out until they have nothing left or he just isnt popular anymore.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
I think maybe 1 or 2 more seasons and he will be a dead advertisment. I wonder what SFNE will do with their Mr. Six coaster...I do like the ad this season though, its better than last years.
Of course this is assuming that he was ever really popular.
If you go by the results of Six Flags this year where there attendence contuuned to plummet and they lost more money than ever then it shows the pr campaign and mr six has been a flop and while people may know who he is due to the awful commercials it isnt resulting in extrea peole showing up at the parks or spending more money in the parks which is what adverstising is supposed to accom;lish, increased sales and profits!!!!!!
Put him out of his misersy ASAP!!!!!!!!!!! And the awful song that comes with him.
I must be one of the few that love him then. I love the commercials. I love his dancing. I will admit that the song really makes me think about Six Flags but in the park it does get a little annoying. I catch myself humming that song all the time when I am not in the park.
He will be considered annoying to everyone else by the end of this season. I never liked the idea in the first place. It's really annoying. It might last longer if they changed the song.
For me, it's a love hate relationship. It get's very annoying, but there's something about an old man that loves roller coasters as much as I do. I feel as if he's a much much much much....much older version of me and all other enthusiasts. If you get annoyed by the song, instead of turning your head in disgust, break out and dance. S'what I do.
I saw the new commercial for Mr. Six. It really captures the way I feel about the new season.
Smickle.
Every jumbled pile of person has a thinking part that wonders what the part that isn't thinking, isn't thinking of.

Bob, If you hate Mr. Six so much, write a little letter to Six Flags in Oklahoma City, and tell them your hate for a character that is supposed to cater to Families NOT coaster enthusists like yourself.
Shame on you for crapping on a character thats really for little kids and families.
Mr. Six now is as notable as Mickey Mouse is for Disney. You really need some kind of therapy and fast.
I think after this season, the interest will wane considerably unless SFI really steps up their marketing. Supposedly, the new ad campaigns were released March 25-26th, and I haven't seen a single one! I remember last season when I saw the commercials once during every show I watched. They have a new contest where you can win a date with Mr. Six; this is either A) milking it because the agency sees the appeal or B) milking it because they know his star is quickly fading.
I am also one that likes the Mr. Six commercials. I crack up everytime one comes on.
Even though no-one knows his name is Mr. Six, he(and the song) are always immediatly related to Six Flags. I think the commercials are good, as all they really need to do is get people thinking about visiting the park. They are directed right to the kids, and they do a great job of getting the kids excited and begging their parents to go to Six Flags.
I guess we'll find out this season if the commercials are doing any good.
The song can remain in the commercials and radio advertisements but it has to leave the park. It's already ruined the theme soundtracks and the parade. I hope it doesn't ruin the parade again this year. I'd take the Marriott charm anytime.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.
Hear ye, hear ye: "After 45 years, Six Flags has stopped smoking."
