I was watching fox and hurricane harbor was on there and it was live and it showed the wave pool and a crane was lifting slide pecies up onto supports. The lady said it was expected to open in late may/ early june and is to be complete by the end of april.
SFGA Bob wrote:its also nice to know a completion date for the project. sounds like the parks wants and expects everything to be finished right around opening day.
its not gonna open on opening day it will most likly be cold.
Two days ago, when it was sunny out, I thought I could see some vertical construction in the form of supports. Since it's been cloudy I have not really been able to see anything. But if you saw them lifting slide pieces onto supports, it proves that they have started building up. Although, I still cannot find where they are putting slide pieces up on the webcam.
Yeah, I had to leave for school before it came on so I set my vcr! LOL! It was great to see a live close-up shot of the construction. Also the lady was very informative, I like the idea of the Tiki Bar. LOL! I wonder if they will serve alcohol there? Seeing this on Fox News makes me ever more excited than I already am for opening day!!!
She said the admission to the park would be 44.95 , and that its included as you know, she said that the water play feature is going to be the largest in the world. She also said most indoor waterparks could fit in the footprint of this water play feature! That is gonna be huge! Other than that she just talked about when it was scheduled to be open, and when SFGAM opens, and general stuff like that.
^ Haha, it sounds so nice right now just to be sitting at a carribbean themed tiki bar.... just soaking up the sun!!
That is great that they are getting the publicity this early, they should be able to pump in tons of advertising until Great America opens, then tons of in-park advertising until HH opens... should draw lots of people!!
Almost done? It still has at least 4 more months of construction left. Very little if any verticle construction has taken place and no landscaping. I mean, there isn't even a building up yet.
It doesn't really matter when they finish it, as long as it is open by the time it is supposed to be. I would like to get up there and take some pictures of the construction the next time I visit the park.
this water park seems like its going to rock..dont let us rush them to get it done..they still have time until it gets nice outside..(speaking of that time...i cant wait until nice weather!!)
