I think it is safe to say that the park will open on may 3rd because with the season pass you got a guest pass and its said that you need to call by May 3rd to get a pass!!!

Well, its definitely in May because it says so on the site, but it doesn't say when exactly.

Yeah, that would be my guess... Unless since the weather has been so warm (for the North in January) maybe they'll open a little earlier... Oh well, it's wishful thinking at least.

Warm weather up here? Last I knew, you lived in the same city as me, and went to the same school as me. It isn't warm! It's freezing! It's just we are lucky and aren't getting much of that stupid white stuff... Oh how I need Florida! Who wants to go to Florida with me? I don't know when, but one of these day's after school me and a couple friends are gonna just pick up and head out and go to BGT, SWO, and IoA. No matter when it is, we don't need to worry about opening day, because they are open every day!

LOL, I'm going to Florida in August, I guess the defeats the purpose of the whole cold weather Florida thing. Oh well. I think GAm can open a little earlier for the season weather wise, but maybe they're just not ready to open that soon in. But isn't there rent outs in the last few weeks of April? I know the B96 thing is.

Yeah, it's not warm right now, but so far this year it has been really really mild compared to other years...

You may be right, but I forget about when it's warm, and only can think of when it's cold. Right now, it's cold (cold is anything below 50 degrees. Warm is anything above 68.) So, in my mind, it's been cold all year long, because its not even 30 right now.

It's obvious it's opening May 3rd because on the site it says it will open in May and for years they've been opening the park the first Saturday of May.

Well if it opens on May 3rd, on the other extreme, does anyone know the last day of operation? Do you think they will have the extended few days after the planned season? I hope to make it to SFGAm again this season, and it's either going to have to be early or late in the season. Thanks!

The actual closing date is irrelevant information!!! Unless your planning way ahead to go to "Last Blast" (hopefully they'll do last blast again, that rocked!)... It'll be sometime in October maybe after Fright Fest (obviously)... This year it was the first week of November ("Last Blast")...

Yeah I would like to plan to come up for the last blast because I hear that the park was basically empty and there was some great power riding oppurtunities. If I'm gonna drive 8 hours I don't want to stand in 2 hour lines in 90* heat, I'd rather come on days like that and miss a day or two of school either monday or friday. But do you think they will have those days again?

Yes, the park was absolutely empty. But still, if they do it again, I don't think it will be a part of their schedule. The last "Last Blast" wasn't on the schedule. It was just a special event sponsored by the radio stations.

Yeah well if the park is empty and no one knows about it, looks like we're gonna get a lot of rides on S:UF and Deja Vu. There's gonna be lots of rides for us fanatics!

at last blast the lines were 2 min. (and the 2 min. was just the time it takes to walk through the empty queue up to the station!) it was awesome, V2's train only ever was like half filled... it was scary the station was ghostly, so empty! it was great...
