I was wondering if anyone could figure this out. This WILL take thinking:
Say SFGAm wanted Giant Drop to be taken down. What ride would you want in Giant Drop's place. You have to know the exact square feet and the who anchelada. If you go over anything then that ride can't be built. Remember: Gurnee says that rides can only be 200ft of under. This will take a little bit of research.
This may be a little dumb but I'm wondering what you would want in Giant Drop's place.
It's green. It's blue. It's all over you! Enjoy your ride on Déjà Vu
Gurnee has a height limit over 300 feet. Why in gods name did you think we had a 20 foot limit if giant drop is 227 and sky trek towers spike is around 330 feet?
A free-fall like Power Tower. Build in a program to make the ride gondolas shake like an earthquake later on in the ride and that would scare the daylights out of you.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.

I would defiantly want an S&S Tower, but I thought the park's height restriction is the height of Sky Trek Tower, which is 330 fett, therefore the restriction is 330 feet, but need the approval of Gurnee for anything taller than 150 feet, I believe it is 150 feet.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
I wouldnt mind seeing a tripple tower complex similar to the S&S Tower Complexes, exept with 3 Fabbri Mega Drops instead, built right up to the max height limit (I can dream)

While the max height allowed is what Sky Trek Tower is (330 ft?), don't count out something being built taller in the future.
SFGAm hasn't approached Gurnee to build anything taller than that but if the time came, I would guarantee that the village of Gurnee would bend their own rule.
The village and the park have a good relationship so no-way would Gurnee turn down a proposal for an attraction above 330ft if they thought it would continue to generate a strong amusement tax.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

That statement is so true. Rule's change, but until that rule changes, nothing over 330. But, I don't see them going much higher than 375(one day).
Actually, I'm pretty sure the 330 foot height is set by the Federal Government as there is a nearby airport, unless the Waukegan Airport closes(or reconfigures their runways), SFGAM can never build anything over 330 feet, weather they like it or not.
As for a Heli Pad in the park, PKI tried that for almost 2 years, but it failed, as helicpoter maintaince and the cost of fuel started costing a whole lot more than people were willing to pay for a 5-10 minute flight. Cool concept though
