Actually thats very reasonable in the grand scgeme of things.
Think of the crowds it draws, if you cant find a full circuit coaster that draws crowds as consistantly as v2 does, and only takes up that much room, there is no way SF could have fit any other coaster in that spot.
V2's draw. I think the draw is inflated because of its low capacity. Yet, I really wouldn't know, considering I haven't been to the park since July 2nd.
im pretty sure also like others said that because De ja Vue was BRAND NEW DESIGN when it came out that Six flags got it free to test it out. since there are so many probloms they werent forced to actually pay and i agree with who ever said they get free maintanence. if they had to pay for repairs, i tell you they would just tare the sucker down, but if its free, they might as well just keep fixing it

Our V2 should cost slightly more. because we have the Magnet brakes on our back tower to hold the train for 3 seconds, wicked twister doesnt, they have 2 spiral towers. so just based on the magnet brakes on the back, its gotta cost at least another thousand dollars or so.

Wicked twister is like 50 or so feet taller than v2 (i think, tell me if im wrong). And, a thousand dollars isn't a lot when your saying 8.5 million.
ok sorry, and i didnt mean they buy coasters off websites. i mean i went to the designers website to see prices. not like SF would actually go to the site. i mean just see if they listed general ideas of costs

HOLY TRIPLE POST BATMAN! (That's what the "Edit" button is for.)
Anyways, well I agree that free maintenance might be a good incentive, I do believe the Six Flags has severed all ties with Vekoma in terms of Deja Vu, and is now doing all the repair work themselves... correct me if I'm worng. Anyway, even if the maintance was free, you've still got to look at it from a P.R. angle: why would the park keep a ride that no one could ride? It doesn't make good guest satisfaction sense if the paying customers can never ride a popular attraction.
