A lot of firsts...

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

This has probably already been discussed before, but I was looking at the coasters and there are a lot of firsts for the park.

American Eagle (1981) - opened as the world's tallest and fastest coaster, and is still the world's tallest and fastest wooden racing coaster

Shockwave (1988) - opened as the world's tallest coaster

Iron Wolf (1990) - B&M's first coaster

Batman: The Ride (1992) - world's first inverted roller coaster

Raging Bull (1999) - world's first hyper twister roller coaster

If you know any others, post them here!

Viper - first and only coaster built in house by Six Flags Incorporated Correct?
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.

Yes, that's true about Viper.

This might seem trivial, but did SFGAm have the first Batman Stunt Show and ampitheater?

Shockwave also opened as the fastest coaster.

Tidal Wave opened as the tallest steel coaster (they didn't argue full circuit back then).

Both Demon's (SFGAm and PGA) opened with the most inversions (4).

Both SFGAm and PGA's log flumes (Yankee Clipper and Logger's Run) opened as the tallest flume rides.

Both Columbia Carousels opened as the tallest merri-go-rounds and that record continues today.

That's all I can add for now. :)
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Z-Force: The first(and only) space diver coaster.
Isn't American Eagle still the worlds longest racing coaster also?
Finally Coaster Season!!
