Did you guys hear about MGM being in SFGAm this is pretty old but I just found out so SOOOOOORY if im late. But I dont think it well be a good idea if they try to take it like Warner Bros. did because WB did a good job with it and if MGM tries to take over the park then they well just ruin it. I think they are going to put rides of MGM movies their but you never know.
I highly doubt they would take away all the Warner Bros. and DC stuff. CCN and LTNP; the names wouldnt make any sense, and they are just too danr good themed to have the Warner Bros. names taken out.
What's so great about having MGM anyway? What's a couple names that they would bring besides Stargate SG-3000 to SF if they did add themed rides?

No, they just have a deal with SFGAm to have the Stargate SG-3000. The topic is really what MGM would do if they added some of their attractions to SFGAm. In other words, SFGAm has contracts with the WB and Cartoon Network to have the various rides, cartoons and music videos on the televisions. What if MGM did the same thing?

Time Warner Inc. has expressed intrest to buy MGM and all it entails, which includes a the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer movie production company, United Artists, MGM Grand Hotel and Casino, and a few other television production entities.
Before anyone gets nuts, I doubt that we would see any turnover of attraction names or replacement, as there is a very long term agreement between Six Flags and Time Warner. But MGM/UA has some GOOD STUFF to bring to the table if anything were to come to pass. The highly profitable James Bond series is owned by MGM, so is Pink Panther, and classic titles like Wizard of Oz and Gone With The Wind.
Stargate SG 3000 is the motion simulator ride that replaced the Space Shuttle America film for the 2004 season.
Oh noooooooo, we are stuck with that movie another year!!!! For HiSpAnOwAy, be surprised if you never heard of the Stargate SG-3000 show before. It's like your in a strange world.

I was walking up to Demon last night and I noticed that on the TV's, instead of showing Loony Tunes and music videos, they were showing the Wizard of Oz, which is a MGM film. Did anyone else notice this?
When I was at SFOG in May, I saw the Wizard of Oz song on the televsion screens. I was like, what???
Forget Arrowsmith for a ride. We should have Mandy Moore!!!!!! She signed a deal with Warner Brothers.

Wizard of Oz was PRODUCED by MGM in 1939. In the 1980's Ted Turner purchased the ENTIRE MGM film library rights, and Ted Turners holdings eventually became part of Time Warner. Warner Brothers is now the distributor of the film (future theatrical performances, DVD and Video releases)
^ I'm not sure if I understand. Is all of MGM part of Time Warner, or just some movies? If MGM is a part of Time Warner anyway, what is this topic about?
