The Most underRated Ride

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Ilovthevu' on July 20th, 2004, 2:29 pm
Which ride doesn't get enough credit for being soooo good? We have the hypes such as the new rides, but what in your opinion is a great ride that needs more attention?

Since it just opened again, it has been getting more popular, but I would have to say Triple Play. It's been a ride that many people pass by during the years, but now it has growing again. Another one for me would be the Demon which is a pretty good coaster, but a lot of teens skip it because it's not seen as a thrilling enough ride. No offense Papas. I disagree.

Viper, never usualy has a long line, in my top three in the park. And I agree with you Demon. Two more would be TrailBlazer and AE in my oppinion.

The Demon is highly under rated. If you know where to sit the ride doesnt have much headbanging. The first drop in the back car is one of the best first drops in the park.

Iron Wolf is the most under rated ride in my opinion(especially on the boards). I don't see why people hate it so much and want it gone. I love it and it is a must-ride everytime I go to the park.

Demon is very underated, I love how it gets right to the fun stuff (inversions) without too many annoying hills and turns. The back row is a good drop and the waterfall is a great touch.

Viper does not get enough credit for being the smoothest woodie around. If Six Flags could build all their wood that smooth it would be nice. If you don't know what I mean try riding the Boss down in SFSTL, it will make you appreciate Viper a lot more.
It's the most fun in the park when your laughing in the dark.

If you guys are talking about lines 99% of the time Raging Bull has a very very short wait. The longest we waited on the 12th of July was like 10 minutes for the Bull, the best ride.

That day wasn't very busy from what I've read. Pretty much, lines have been around a half-hour for Bulls on weekdays and and hour or more on Saturdays. Bull is not underrated, but it is your opinion. :)

I guess I have to add another flat. The Orbit gets passed by many people, but it's a really good ride. It goes upside-down so you would expect more people to be on it than there is.

Yeah, you'd think that it would be popular since alot of people think a ride isnt good if it doesnt have loops.

I say Viper for sure. That woodie is awesome and you never see it ranked high in polls and the line isn't even that long. After that I would have to say Demon. That is one good Arrow - I like the layout and theming.

Think about that rides capacity with 3 train op (Which is usually has), the line always moves quickly. A full queue house only takes a half hour wit 3 train op.

I did not say that it is underrated, I said there is no lines for it and when I was finished I said the best ride. So DejaVu The Ride, where does it say that I said that it is underrated??????????? Huh[/quote]

You made it sound as if it is underrated by the General Public because the line is short for such a great ride.

I think that is what you meant by your post. If that's is not what you mean, then why would you even mention Raging Bull in a topic about Underrated rides?

And Woodland, I know how long a queue house on Raging Bull takes. Sometimes it varys. The line has been full on Saturday's this month. That mean 1 hour or more on wait times. Your post kind of added to my comments. Yes, 1 queue(30 min.) + 1 queue(30 min.) = 2 queue houses(1 hour) plus 10 minutes for the straight aways.

I need a break from the boards.

To lighten things up a bit:

DejaVu The Ride, why were you broke last week?
Have you been shedding your skin lately? Why sometimes do you decide to miscatch the train and other times you want to? Do you get tired running all day and night?

That's enough fun for me today. I can't agree with Trailblaizer though whoever said that before. It's just my opinion, but it's not that great of a ride.

Yeah, American Eagle too. Ehh, in my opinion Condor and Trailblazer aren't underrated. Then again, I haven't ridden Trailblazer since 2000 or Condor since 2002.

I think that Demon is defiantly one of the most underrated rides in the park, but the most underrated ride in the park has to be, even though I dont ride it much, Sky Trek Tower, the thing is good to ride if you are tired or want a nice cool place to be. Also, it gives people a nice view for pictures and a great look at the whole park 300+ feet in the air, it is cool.
