The Best And Worst Looking Rides

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Ilovthevu' on July 13th, 2004, 6:59 pm
I would have to say the two best looking rides are right next to each. SUF and Condor. SUF has awesome colors that brighten the front of the park. I love how the Condor's look on each car, the light scheme at night, and the Condor on top. The Huss designer should get a bonus.

The worst looking ride in my opinion is Ricochet. It looks awful. It's a good ride, but they destroyed it when they moved it. For those of you who don't remember how the Big Top looked, I'll try to find a picture. It won't be easy. The other ones would be IMS and LR. They need a paint job pretty badly.

The worst looking ride I think is the Orbit. It's still fun though.

I have to disagree, I think Orbit looks really good, especially at night.
I'd have to go with RB for best. And Deja Vu for worst because of the 'camoflauge' supports.

I think Triple Play looks the best, and AE the worst! That's that! :)

Yeah, the more that I think about it, it does look pretty bad during the day.

I think the best looking ride is S:UF and bataman even if some don't like it. But you can't compare american Eagle to tripple play because TP was painted new this year.

Why can't I compare that? Doesn't matter if it's newly painted. It looks better. Maybe they should paint AE just as they did w/ Batman and TP.

With the Orbit, they just painted it a couple years ago. The lights were all messed up a couple years ago after they refurbished, but now they look the same as they did before they refurbished it. What colors would you make it to look better? I personally like blue, it's my favorite color.

I think Whizzer is one of the worst looking rides. Would be cool if they painted the tracks a brighter green like the cars and white supports.
Waiting to fill this space with something stupid to say!

As of this year I would say the worst looking ride is Triple Play.

Yes the Marriott Logo is reappearing "YES". It's sure better than anything Six Flags themed until the big turn around this year. This week the Crew on Great America's Train will be going back to the old Marriott Costumes. I love it it gives the park a look of class. Disney is a master of themeing and thats what keeps people coming back. Now Great America has caught the bug and it's working the big crowds tell it all.

I actually think Revolution looks very nice. It just looks really nice rocking back in forth, where it is. I agree, Deja Vu's spotty painting looks horrible, up close at least. I think Condor does not look good in the day.

I have a question about revolution. Does that swing 120 degrees both ways (to the right and left of the "imaginary" verticle line right through the ride), or is it 120 total (so 60 on either side). 120 would mean you go upside down 30 degrees, and I didn't think it went upside down. Just wondering.

60 on each side

About the Big Top, it was located by American Eagle and accented it. Now we have Revolution :D

Made it look better, added to the look of AE, something along those lines.

It sort of did now that I think about it, but Revy is fitting in fine.

The best looking ride is Big Easy Ballons, the colors are amazing on a bright day (I got a great pic of it)
Worst is sadly iron Wolf.

The lights and the color of the Big Top made it look better too. Brown is too dull, but it fits with SWT I guess. Why couldn't they ruin another ride? Haybaler would've perfect instead (It's a darker color, brown.) and put Big Top somewhere else in County Fair.

I think the wrost looking ride is the AE I understand its old and will be hard to repaint but the new tracks they put in a couple years ago to make the ride smoother does not even match with the colors. Its just plain. And the triple play since I like original they should have it back the way it was.
