Demon's popularity

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

The past few years I noticed that demon's line has been really short and it's almost like a walk on! But lately the line has been growing. Anyone notice that too?

Yeah they even have the queve twist going. I mean is this a sign of the apocolips or is the same thing happening for demon that is for whizzer (people going on it alot so it doesn't get taken down).

Every once in a while Demon is packed, but not that often. I think it is a great ride, especially for a kid's first upside down ride.

It's definatly a good first roller coaster for little kids. I remember it was my first upside down ride. It's just that it's very short and people are more attracted to the longer rides and newer ones. It's highly over looked by the public.

No, I don't believe so. The park is really packed so kids along with adults have to go on something that might be less crowded. It was a walk-on from May to earlier June for me. On top of that you have V2, D Vu, KC, and once Triple Play was out of the lineup.

New topics keep on coming up like crazy!!!

Demon is having long lines now, like every other coaster in the park. It is getting crowded, it is July, and the crowds come out of hibernation to pack the park to the rims, which is a good thing in many more ways than bad.

July is the most busy month for most parks. Almost all Arrows tend to get a little line for them, but nothing that is over 20 minutes or so. I was surprised I waited 20 minutes for a 2 train operation. Do they ever use that 3rd train anymore? or do they always just have one transferred?

Yeah, sometimes they even use 3 trains on days that aren't that crowded. You should have seen 3 trains in operation, I don't see why there wasn't the day you went.

They don't use them that often because they just get backed up.

Demon running 3 trains is pretty much pointless. It seems they tried it again this year and finally gave up.

It's one of the better small scale Arrow loopers that I have ridden.

Demon's My favorite ride in the park when it comes to small scale family coaster. I like it better than Whizzer because it has inversions. And it was my FIRST coaster. I went on it even before Whizzer.

( I think thats what they are called) And i have been going to Great America Since i was in 3rd Grade and i'm going to be a Sophomore this year.

It depends on the size of the crowd on the day you go.

^-- All of those zig-zaggy back and forth things that you have to walk through. They are easily the most dreaded part of any queue line.
Back and forth, back and forth over and over again. :x

Demon will be fine, one of the reasons it isnt gone is because not many modern coasters could fit into its blueprint.

I doubt they get rid of Demon becuase...

1.) It's been in the park since it opened (1976), and it has quite a history

2.) It's the only custom sit-down looper the park has now

3.) As Tim said, what modern-day coaster will fit in that area?

And none of those 3 reasons keep the coaster in the park.

This is a business. As long as the coaster isn't costly in maintenance and it generates a decent crowd, the coaster stays.

The point wasn't that they would take down Demon. The point was that the line was getting long.

excuse me, king of off-topic posts, But The fact that demon's lines are a decent size does counter-blance whether or not it stays or goes.
