Really? I thought they had to remove the train and go through a whole system before they could re-open it.

I mean they had to close it to get the train out, but it reopened after a test or two.

Can't Pappas shed any light on any of this? The guy freakin' lives on the Demon, so he should've been close if/when it happened. I'm glad to hear that they got it up and running shortly thereafter. If nothing else, it seems that the turnaround time is getting much better after it breaks down.

Long time lurker, first time poster. Really enjoy this site!

Anyway, on my commute to work this morning, I was shocked to see that Vu was vallied in the roll. It was about 8am today.

No other info, as I was not at the park last nite.

They have stairs going up to the cobra roll. It doesn't seem that hard to push it.

It is confirmed that Dejavu did valley in the cobra roll Yesterday morning (7/6). Expect the ride to be down the rest of the season.

Reports yesterday said that there was some major trouble with the ride before valley and as far as im aware there was no one on the train when the incident happened.

Papas is no longer with us.

I just can't beleve after it vallying in the roll that they just pushed it back. Hmm

They did not push the train back, in fact they placed red emergency bars in the middle of the train to prevent the train from rolling further into the roll.

The only thing that might be a good thing out of the his whole situation.. is that the train is going straight through the cobra roll.

meaning that A1 is the first car into the roll and 8B is the last, now where the train is currently stuck at, it seems to me that it would be rather easy to get the train back into the station. since its nearest to the station and not. where it was the last time it vallied.

What?!, I have to disagree with that. Give it a week or two and I bet it's back up and running. This has happened at SFMM and SFOG before and all was fixed within a week.

It was stuck all day. I was at SFGAm yesterday (7/6). The thing is that I was dieing to ride Deja Vu (of coarse I was dieing to ride all the other rides but Deja Vu is my favorite). Now Deja Vu is not open.

No one was on the train when it happened. I think it was testing when it happened.

Now, I'm confused. The second post says it was running shortly after. So, it's running or not? Where you at the park rctwizard 360?

Don't you think those trains weigh a ton or two! I bet it would be hard to push that...

I left at 5:00 or so and Deja Vu was still stuck. So maybe they did when I was gone.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be that easy to just push out. Okay...so it is still stuck in the cobra (as far as we know)? Or did it open back up later?

This is too bad, but I don't expect it'll be down too long...especially not the rest of the season.

Having four mecahnics rolling it shouldn't be that bad. You would be surprised what things can be lifted or moved when more that one person does a job. My favorite ride has arms (which look like they weigh a ton), but yet they move it from carnival to carnival each week.

That doesn't make much sense, I think it would take more men that could fit on that little wobbly platform to push that train. This really sucks I thought this might have been DV's year. Anybody know the problem? Rain, too cold?

Why isn't Papas with us anymore?
