It seems as if RC is nearly finished. I saw it test 2 times. It looks really fun! Does anyone now how long it may be until it opens? When I was on IW, I saw 3 of RC's cars outside the park. Also, are there any pics or videos from media day? I got on picture of RC testing, too bad I didn't have my cousin's digital camera that takes videos!

I got a question about RC. when does it start spinning? I know it doesn't spin for the entire ride, but when does it start? and how do they get it back facing forward at the end of the ride? does a ride op just spin it around to face forward and lock it down?
I don't have a detonator; its on a timer.
A countdown timer?
No, a count-up timer. It goes from one to explode.

Ragin Cajan wasn't spinning at all yesterday, 5-24-04. It was just going through it's track with water dummys. The station looked complete and the que is finished, i think. (I know that they were working on it didn't bother to check @ night to see if it was up) But, otherwise. Looking Good. Oh- what if anyone went to the park on 4-24-04, what was up with the helocopters?
Watch out theres a new Hurricane in Gurnee, IL!

I havn't been there all week so I don't really have any kind of update for once but both have been cycling for a long time with tweaking here and there, it shouldn't be too much longer (for all I know they could be open now).

I was at the park today to try to get on RC. It was not yet open. They were working on putting up a new sign. I talked with some of the workers and they said it will be open tomorow. KC will not be open for at least anouther 2 weeks. If you want to see some photos go here

side note: The pool in front of the carousel was empty.

WOW! I just looked at the pictures and the Station for RC looks great! Def. better than V2,Deja, or S:UE. I'm really happy with the new section of the park this year.

I dont know how many trains it has, but last time i was at the park, they had 3 on the track. By the way...they probably emptied the pool in front because of all the leaves and gunk in there from the storms.

It has 9 trains (Or cars). I would be believed that RC might open this weekend.

As for KC, like I said before they are having problems with this ride, they had to replace several parts and they are still having problems.

Looks like KC won't be open by the time I go. Oh well, better to atleast have one of them open vs none of them. I just really wanted to ride a top spin that was outside.

Are there any top spins as big as PKI's Tomb Raider that are outside?

Yesterday when I went. I think the only reason KC and Big Easy Balloons werent running because all the ride-ops were working the coasters. Also RC was testing and some security guards and employees got to ride it. I saw 4-6 cars on there. It should be open for the weekend. Everyhing in my opinion should be open this weekend.
