Hello fellow coaster lovers, this is my first post to the board. My friends and I are going to be in Chicago next weekend for CoasterbuzzCon. Our plan is to hit all the coasters on Friday but leave Viper and Raging Bull for ERT on Saturday.
My question is this: since we are going on Friday, what order should we ride the roller coasters in your opinion? It sounds like Deja Vu or Superman should be the first 2 to ride but any help would be appreciated as it sounds like they might have the longest lines.
Thanks everyone and we will see you at CoasterbuzzCon for those who are going.
If your leaving RB until saturday; then definetly ride dejavu as soon as you see it running...V2 is also a good one to ride early but it's on the other side of the park from Deja Vu.
First Deja Vu. The line gets crowded with queue times of 2 hours sometimes if not 2 then 1 hour.
Then Raging Bull. Line also gets crowded but goes MUCH quicker then Deja Vu's queue.
While in Southwest Territory why not ride Viper?
The rest of County Fair is up to you, But beware. On Iron Wolf you must be careful. Hold your head back tight on the restraint. Also if I were you I would stand up straight (unless you like getting racked you know where).
Now Yankee Harbor. Ride V2 first and then Batman.
Mardi Gras is new this year (as you might have known) If it isn't night time yet don't ride Ragin Cajun. Then again I never have been on Ragin Cajun so I'm talking out of experience.
Same with Superman. Ride at night time when the line is only a half hour and Superman is cool at night. Not to say Superman isn't cool during the day but at night (If you haven't been on before) you won't know what will happen next.
Any time that is left is for you to decide.
Hope this helps.
It's green. It's blue. It's all over you! Enjoy your ride on Déjà Vu
1). If you arrive before opening race to S:UF to get that out of the way. You should be the most of the crowd this way.
2). Then go to Mardi Gras, Batman and V2 and other rides in Yankee Harbor.
3). Then do Yukon Territory and County Fair.
4). Go to the left entrance for Southwet Territory and do that area.
5). Then take a quick stop at Demon then you can do Hometown Square and carousel Plaza. After that you can just do repeats.
This is what I always do and it usualy works.
Try getting on the first ride of Superman, if you have a season pass and use the season pass entrance this should be easy to do.
After that go directly to Deja Vu. Ever since Superman has opened Deja Vu (when open on time) has had walk on's (or close to it) for about the first half hour of the day.
From there ride Demon, then you might as well go and do Viper, Bull and Giant Drop while the lines are shorter. Then go to the Eagle and Iron Wolf and you shouldn't run into lines until you get to V2 and Batman.
That's probably the best way to get on all the coasters in the shortest amount of time. Im sure everyone has a different way of doing it though, that's the way that has worked best for me although I usually skip Superman .
Thanks for the tips everyone, all the coasters look very fun. The funny thing is we were going to go this last weekend but then CoasterbuzzCon popped up when we were planning so we said we might as well wait the extra week and get some ERT!!!!!!
Yeah, from what I read on different sites, it sounds like Deja Vu and Superman are the 2 busiest. Ok, here is another question. One of these will be my 34th and one will be my 35th coaster so which should I choose? Also I think RB will be my 45th coaster providing Ragin Cagin is open.

Either way you are good. I do suggest that if you see Deja running get on it! It seems to not be open as much as Superman. Don't want you to miss out on Deja!
CoasterbuzzCon is for paid members of Coasterbuzz.com that can get into SFGAM this Saturday for ERT (Exclusive Ride Time) on RB and Viper. They also have events at PKI and CP.
I just feel that the Deja Vu line goes very very slowly. It just seems tedious to me. One good part of the Superman line is that it keeps moving all the time.

When I went saturday the wait was about 45-an hour for the good coasters, and then 8:00 came i got on iron wolf, then batman, then v2 then deja vu to end it all in the last hour. why do people always leave an hour early?
Rode Raging Bull 9 times opening Day, lol to all who were scared of the weather.!.
Well Saturday was just Busses Galore. 3 full rows of busses can make any day a busy one. Most likely those groups had to leave earlier to get home at a reasonable time. During the summer most families will either get tired, or just decide to go home because of smaller kids or something like that.

I don't like to, but my parents always want to. It's either too cold, or they just want to get home because it's 'too long of a drive'. Nowadays my mom wants to leave earlier just because of the bad traffic when the park closes and everyone's leaving.
