I went, what about starting a topic?
Okay here you go.
Cajun is mostly built, Chaos has the otsr's, Jester and Big Easy Baloon Race have signs. Chaos' queue extends all the way behind and around the ride.

I was going to go, but since every channel/website said severe storms all day I didnt go...

But what happens? Atleast south of chicago it was 80 degrees and sunny the whole day, Its amazing how wrong the weather can be, even 1/4 of the way into the day they cant predict the correct weather!

I went today. Jesters and Big Easy Ballons were both testing. They started construction on the stage for Mardi Gras. They did alot of repathing this past week ( all of Orleans Place, back of Carousel) Also, they now have a photo thing for Stargate, there is a green screen and you get your pictures taken in front of it. It was a great day but ti was kinda crowded.

the park is really starting to look nice. They repaved basically the whole park (but that was said already). Those games where you use the hammer and try to make the light go all the way up is also new. Deja Vu was running pretty much the whole day, but still hasnt been repainted. There are lots of new signs around the park in que lines also. I think they did a great job over the off season to make Great America to begin looking like a 5 star park. I'm very pleased with this off seasons constuction.

If you look at where the pre-show takes place before the parade...you can see they added HUGE lights for the show. Yea....not big news but they're something to notice i guess.

I was there on Saturday.
I went with a small group, but ended up pretty much taking my 11 year old cousin on a lot of the rides that she likes. Therefore I didn't get on that many coasters (just Eagle red, Viper and Raging Bull). But I got on almost all the flats (including Revolution, which gave me the giggles for some reason. It was fun).
I was having a good day until I was sitting outside Superman and my cell phone got stolen. When I realized it was gone, I took the chance of calling it, just in case someone nice had found it. Some dude answered, and when I was in the middle of trying to explain that he had my phone, I was hung up on. Oh, well. I know, not a big deal, but it kinda ruined my day, so I really didn't have as much fun as I expected to have.
BUT, I do have to say that I was really impressed with how nice the park looked. Silly question, but did they paint the Eagle again? Because when I was in line, the boards looked really really white. Totally clean.
And Batman? It's gonna take a while to get used to it being yellow, but I think it looks nice. All and all I have to say the park was beautiful.
Okay, I'll shut up.

They repainted the entire station and got a new floor. It all looks really nice.

Yeah. Well at least it didn't go through a horrible death like my phone. LOL :) Mine fell 170' on Deja Vu and defiantly shattered. Fun times but at the end it sucks hard core.
Watch out theres a new Hurricane in Gurnee, IL!

Yeah, that's gotta suck. As soon as you know your cell phone is stolen, you should call your provider and have them disable the phone until you find it or get a new one.

I was at SFGAm on Saturday.

I was in line for V2 with my dad, and my friend. We were so close to rideing until they annonced that V2 is having technical difficulties. Can you believe it though. Only a 2 minute break down. So My friend and I got on(my dad went before us with a single rider).
For some reason V2 had a burning smell. I think it was because on of V2's wheels was dragging.
It's green. It's blue. It's all over you! Enjoy your ride on Déjà Vu

Yeah, I know. As soon as I realized it was gone the very first thing I did was call it, then I called my mom right away (I didn't want to have to leave to take care of it) and she called my provider and had everything taken care of. They turned off my service (I don't have to make for any calls that were made Saturday, since it takes like an hour to shut it off), and because of the insurance I had on it (it was only like 4 months old), I should have my new one by Tuesday. It all put a little damper on the day, but it was one of those things that once it was done, there wasn't really anything I could do about it, so I tried to just put it out of my mind and enjoy the rest of my afternoon.

I went on Saturday and Sunday. I noticed the black cars under Demon, but I did not see the wig. Also, while I was on Iron Wolf today, I saw all of Rajun Cajun's cars.
