Great America is open, what do you think?

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Saturday was aperfect day to take in all that is already or in the progress of being new. What a great job the park has done fixing up the infrastucture. Can we say new paint everywhere! The best selection of merchandise in years. New Shows, Warm friendly staff in the park, and oh yes Mardi Gras coming along just fine. Enjoy these slow days I think record crowds will fill the park main season. I have never talked to more pumped friends and staff 2004 is big it's time to party. Again Great Job on making Great America consumer friendly again. Is Marriott back in charge? Just Kidding.

Yes Ron I agree whole heartedly. The part looks awesome. Everything looks brand new this year. Did you notice how clean all the ques and stations were. All the nasty worn in gum is gone!

I just hope that the Marti Gras area theaming matches the rides. The rides look great. Now lets just hope they do the same with the rest of the area.
Thats what I think!

I don't think that that's worn in gum. I'm pretty sure it's a special tar used to seal the midway. Our janitorial service isn't that bad.

I think the park is great! And I totally agree that the staff is friendlier this year( so far) which is awesome! Can't wait to see the Mardi Gras area finished! They're doing a great job!

I am not talking about the midway. I am talking about the stations and the Ques (although the midway does apply too). Remeber how Raging Bull's station floor always had black spots all over the place. Well that is gum on the floor. They cleaned all that up this year.

SFGAm does look nice. I just wish the new rides weren't so dated.
