Now i know this might be a tad bit pre-mature, however in the Two days that i have visited the park, S:UF has been a walk-on, that rivals even Demon. Whats the deal? Is it because its still way way early to tell? or is that S:UF has already lost its drawing power? Even this early in the season? What do you think?
Sorry Gavlan you know I am going to hate saying this, but I agree with you. Last year I think alot of the general public thought the ride was too short and had a lack of themeing. Now people rather go on better rides than SUF; V2, Demon, Deja Vu, Raging Bull, Batman, all rival Superman in wait.
PS I like thooses little trees they planted, just think in 10 years we will be flying around trees.
I didfnt think much of it because most rides had walk ons. I think its to early to tell. Evry line had nothing more than the station most of the day but deja vu, that had a 30 minute wait.
I agree. I was there on Saturday and everyride except for Deja Vu was a walk on. Even Revolution which was a new ride was pratically a walk on hardly any line at all.
You cannot tell what the ride line is going to be on for the rest of the year based on what you see on a 50 degree day.
Yeah. Alot of people out there haven't riden SUF yet because they thought the lines were too long last year. I still think plenty of new people will be hoping to get in line. Most of them think their scheduals are to packed to go before summer. Especially students and teachers.
It definatly is way too early to tell, but I do believe that a lot of the people in the GP thought S:UF wasn't worth the wait if they waited the full queue and only rode the ride once.

I highly dout that its lost its crowd. Even any of it. If you are remotely into roller coasters you will most likely ride this at least a few times unless you are afraid of falling out .
I'm sure the lines will be back up to an hour + later in the season. Almost every ride was a walk on this past weekend. And superman was no exception...Sunday night I rode twenty times in a row without even having to get off, and barely having to switch rows.

Just wait till the early weeks of June. It will be very crowded again and Superman will have its lines back up. And for enthusiats, knowing the coasters we,ve been on, SUF can bore us, but to the general public, its a big thrill for them.
Well, my opinion is it's a great ride. I don't know if people are starting to lose their thrill about it but I for one love flying coasters, only below Racing Woodies.
i'm coming up from ark for a SFGAm CP IB trip in late aug. and will only have 1 day at SFGAm. so i kind of hope it has lost some riders so i can ride it ALOT since it will be my first flyer

As far as S:UF not being popular anymore, Saturday it was using switchbacks, Sunday the line got to extend to the queue house mid day. That and Vu were the longest lines in the park.
This will also be my 1st flyer....I think its mandatory to strike the superman flying pose while riding the coaster. Now if I could only have my g/f hold onto me while we fly...hehe

Well, they only had 1 train working this past Sunday, but I was able to get on before they started making those National Weather Service announcements and everybody ran to Superman.
