EDIT: I inserted an image of Giant wheel at Cedar Point over those water slides. I would love to see something like this in the expanded carousel plaza
Interesting ride choice, i'd take if it became a reality
I was looking at those slides and I was like "Would a Ferris wheel fit?" Sure enough. it does! I personally think that would look amazing right in front of the park especially at night when it is lit up.

They could even re-use the Sky Whirl name
Or Orleans Orbit! The tallest Ferris Wheel in Midwest lol

Even funnier, is that if it was the Midwest’s tallest, it would probably be the tallest ride in the park since the current tallest (Centennial Wheel at Navy Pier) is almost 200 ft.
Not the biggest fan of large ferris wheels, they all move so slow that it's kind of boring. An eccentric wheel like at Coney Island or DCA would be awesome though!
Remember when people called me out saying I was wrong?
Welp.
You're still wrong.....LOL
I seriously doubt its going anywhere...they haven't touched it at all even leaving the railings fir the line out front while all the tables have been removed on the side of it.
Great update video! Good to see that the site is just about ready for footers.
A side note, there were times where I could barely hear your voice over the loud music. The music was drowning out your voice a lot during the video. I recommend you turn it down so we can hear you better on your following construction update videos.
Thanks!

Here's another one. I took Oscars wacky taxi and put it over the waterslide and it's a perfect fit. That would also be a nice family addition and would give us a woodie in Carousel Plaza
CoastsToCoasters wrote:I'm pretty sure that tower is going to be used for another slide yall. & if it were used for the dry park, how are they going to get to it?
There is literally a walkway that leads right up to the waterpark fence, right where the closed slides are. It’s the walkway where Sky Trek Tower’s exit is.
As for Oscar’s, I would prefer that two-one over a Ferris Wheel. I’ve always wanted to ride a GG, and Oscar’s looks epic. Would not mind if they brought over a GG family woodie of any kind.
That walkway is between the pool & the Wipeout slide complex & queue though. It could go behind the slides as we may see that building go away with the new entrance next year buttt that wouldn't make much sense since it's used in the park as well as out.

Let's stick to Wrath of Raksasha construction in this thread, and make another for the Front Gate/Hurricane Harbor

I was there both Wednesday and Thursday and nothing was there so unless stuff showed up yesterday or overnight. I will be there later today so I will definitely check it out.
With no footers in place & just land clearing being done, I don't see this being track just yet but that doesn't mean track couldn't just sit there while they prep the area more.
Curious if anyone can get eyes on this. The track at the plant last week was a much lighter shade of blue than what the concept art shows. Would love to confirm what the track I saw was for. I'll make another pass by the plant this week and report back!
Blue_Toad_Coasters wrote:So the track must've shipped a while back from Ohio. Looks like Zimmerman is already implementing changes, thank goodness.
I wouldn't put it entirely on Zimmerman, seems like the park has taken some initiative on their end, as opposed to a project like SFMM that's just stuck in mud right now. Likewise, I was just at SFNE and there was no prep work underway for Quantum Accelerator (Zimmerman probably going to push off working with Intamin as long as he can ). Call me a fool if you'd like, and this can certainly come back to bite me later, but right now I have no concerns about Rakshasa opening in July 2025 or later.
