New For 2025 - Wrath of Raksasha

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby TwistedSTEEL666 on January 10th, 2025, 10:10 pm
I think you guys are getting off topic talking about a ride that is no longer at the park.
This thread is supposed to be about Wrath of Rakshasa, remember?

Anyway, the weekend is a really good opportunity for the lift hill to be topped off.
The weather doesn't look to be too bad.
I hope they can top it off this weekend and B&MGuy35 gets another update video on YouTube soon!

Depending on how fast those next two sets of supports go up, I expect a top off by the end of next week.

It’d be nice to see it get topped off this weekend but not sure if they work weekends. I’m sure they weren’t able to get much done today due to the nasty weather.

Coming from someone who knows nothing about coaster construction, is there a reason some of the footers haven’t been poured? Does it have to be a certain temperature for the concrete to cure properly?

Temperature mostly. 20 degree range isn't great for Concrete.

I'm still skeptical that they will work in order of travel despite that being the usual for B&M.

Agreed! & we're back. I know a few of us have brought it up several times but it really is wild that no matter how many times I look at this coaster being built I'm still in shock on how it's all going to fit. I cannot wait to see this mess of track come together.

Here is the status of RAK construction from outside of the park as of 1/12/2025.

This is from across the Tollway:

Looks like my guess was right, at this rate we will see a top off by next week. Only one support and two track pieces to reach the top of the lift.

Assuming we're not counting the turn and holding brake for the drop, that is.

Edit: this week, it's Sunday. Derp.

Another piece of lift hill track is in.
That lift hill is starting to become imposing!
