Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Yes! I thought they would definitely remove Hometown Park and the go-karts. That is amazing how they were able to squeeze such a large coaster into a very small footprint
After they built X Flight and Goliath, it was pretty obvious they could squeeze stuff into small spaces

Wrath will take up more space than it seems since it’s using Bucky, Sky Trail and a bit of Demons area.

And yeah. It’s interesting because in the rendering video, Demon Snacks is gone but the games stayed. And it’s vice versa now.

Like I've said multiple times, anything is possible. If Grona Lund can add a roller coaster that's on top of a roller coaster that goes through a roller coaster that dives underground - anything is possible to fit anywhere. I hate when people say we're land locked. Nah, we just need creative design is all & this will be just that. A creative design with limited space.

I want more variety of rides other the coasters, i think we have more than enough coasters in the park, and i want to be able to ride other types of rides besides Roller Coasters
Old Great America was better, however I hope just a bit of that charm comes back

We quite literally just got Sky Striker. One of the best additions we've had in a long time.

When it works.

I get what you're saying but again, this has always been a coaster heavy park. However, I do wish we still had Hangover, not gonna lie. That was way too short lived. I loved the name, the what it looked in the skyline & its placement. It would have been a great flat ride compliment to Sky Striker. I'm all for more flats coming in but would love if they take some notes from CW. If you want a unique variety of flats, check out that parks offerings.

I would love to see something like Canada's wonderlands lumber jack installed where trailblazer used to be. That would be such an awesome fit in the Southwest territory. But agreed 100% Great America is definitely a coaster heavy park and will continue to be so.

New roller coasters produce a good ROI at Great America, that's why they keep doing it over and over again.

Putting in Rak one year before the park's 50th anniversary is a smart move.
They will have their return on investment big time because of it.
Rak will increase sales (tickets, season passes, memberships, merch) and the park will have plenty of cash on hand, maybe more than enough for whatever plans they have for the 50th anniversary.

I just hope whatever they do is good for the 50th.
I can't imagine them one upping themselves for the 50th, doing better than Rak?

The StupidLoop was a terrible investment. It never fit a park like ours. It’s a carnival ride. And just overall, a terrible and boring ride. Good riddance

On that thinking then a lot of our flats are “carnival “ rides. Everyone loved orbit, but it was a permanent installation of a carnival ride. Hometown fun Machine, all of the kids rides and even the bumper cars are carnival rides. Superloop should have stayed. It added something to the lineup. Just because you didn’t like doesn’t mean that others didn’t ride it and enjoy it.

The fact that all of the Six Flags parks are taking them out and the park was always first to close the ride speaks volumes to what the general public thought of the ride. They wouldn’t have closed it on slow days if they knew people would ride it.

It’s not good. It never was! It was a cheap JRA punch card addition to a park that deserves much better. That was one of the few good things that Salim did was start removing that hunk of junk.

Not to mention that we lost a far superior flat in King Chaos for the StupidLoop.

I think any ride or experience can give good ROI if marketed well and are meaningful to the park, especially if they last long term. If they can make a good ride or experience that sticks to the theming that isn't just another coaster (or in my opinion any coaster/ride the can remove a pre-existing coaster that has alot of space that they can improve theming on I'e: Superman), then i see it as a complete win, not just for the park but in themed experiences out of Disney as a whole

I hope it doesn’t get RMC-ed! I enjoy Eagle because it’s a classic woodie they should be preserved as long as it remains 100% wood. I’m honestly in favor of GG Pre-Cut Track. Now that Bobcat opened, (and it was the only coaster marketed for 2024 that opened in 2025) the relationship is there and it’s a good one.

I'd rather have Intamin come in give us a coaster like El Toro or T-Express. Those two prefab coasters are so insane. But wooden coasters are a little harder to not have much space for so I would rather have another major wooden coaster rather than see eagle go.

At the park today. No signs of any digging so I was right about no footers before October.

As for the area by Demon, it's entrance has been completely gutted up to the first turn. Same for exit, everything from the last turn down the hill is gone.

I wouldn't be surprised if Demon's new exit goes to the pathway by the old SW Territory sign. Doubt this, I think it will shift just a tad to the left.

As for the entrance, I have no idea since it's hard to visualize where Rak's supports will be. I'd wager it's going to be in the same place, but I don't know how the sign fits into it.

I agree with you on that: It's getting replaced by a B&M Giga named "Iron Eagle: Soaring to New Heights" ! :D

Since you hate our coaster lineup, what are you feelings on the park getting rid of Joker and Little Slipper (and it can take those annoying go karts with it)! That would free up space for something new

FYI, i don't HATE the line up, i just have different thoughts about how each exist in their lands/what they replaced

Joker is do do, if it leaves i won't be upset because i hate freespins

Little Dipper is an interesting one tho, i'm no Little Dipper stan as i find it mediocre, but it's placement in the park for me is weird, i think it would fit County Fair much more, it also has history and Great America made a big deal out of saving it so removing it would be bad PR, if Little Dipper moved and the Go Kart's got axed, I'd use that area to bring back a Looney Tunes land, and mostly theme it after any of the shorts that take place in the Woods (Hunting Trilogy, Daffy Hood, etc). I'd also make a path between Hometown Park and Yukon as I know alot of people really want like a middle path, so i would try to cleverly theme this between both themes to make the transition seamless (and hide the backstage area)

Little Dipper deserves to stay cause of the mentioned history. It's placement, yes - always an odd choice. I would love to see the go karts go. But I want log jammer to go too & use the go kart plot as the station & brakes for a giga. A Wendigo themed giga. ;) let's keep this demonic mythological creature feature goin! Haha but seriously, using that plot & carrying over to the flumes spot could create an interesting layout.

Well unless something happens in the next few hours I’m going to go out on a limb and say Wrath will be delayed on opening if they haven’t received everything that is needed from overseas yet. I doubt they’ve received the major stuff yet so this may be eminent depending on how long the strike is. I guess we will have to wait and see. Just one day being on strike will cripple the supply chain so hopefully it doesn’t come to that and they can reach a deal in the next several hours.
