Opening Day!

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby Ron/Wolf on April 29th, 2004, 7:32 pm
Here's hoping everybody has a Great Openining Weekend back at the park. Sure the weather sounds cold wet gloomy but what else would Opening Day be like? Surely last years nice weather was a fluke. Lets's just hope the rain doesn't stop the rides. It's 2004 have fun stay safe.

Is it just me or does the way ron/wolf types sound a lot like the way galvan types? I'm not accusing anything I just think it's interesting
And thanks for your good wishes by the way.

Damn you, older I get, less sleep I get before SFGAm :)

Though I generally wake up at 2-7pm and go to sleep around 14 hours(minimum) later.

Going to SFGAm is a chore for me that requires me going around 36 hours, i figure this weekend, with no sleep :)

And I may end up driving to IB Sunday depending on what the weather looks like.

Did you ever think that he works 2nd or 3rd shift at his job?

Of course, if he has no job, then he is lazy. :)
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

The Clock Is Ticking....

( Yes Yes I know it might be off, it depends on your computer, the faster you computer the closer it'll be... )

Expect the tick to continue after the countdown is done, I'm not sure what happens when it reaches 00:00:00:00 :) . I'll remove the tick when I get back from the park, so don't whine about it.

Yea, I didn't really start getting excited until about a week ago, so it's like all of my off season excitement is crammed into one week. So I'm kinda bouncing off the walls...

Its hard to tell what the weather is going to be like. I have heard several different forcast, ranging from the upper 40's to the mid- 50's. There is one possible bright spot to the bad weather. Small crowds. With the exception to the fine people in these forums, I believe that the general public will stay away until the weather gets better.
I do have one question. Is there a place in the park where I can get my daughters hand stamped showing that she is over 36"?

Let the season begin.

I believe you can have that done at guest services, which is on your right side as you come in.

As far as crowds, I think the General Public will stay away if it rains. The only GP we will have the most problem with as far as size are the high school people coming from Prom. Because my High School's prom is tonight and couple of seniors I talk to every now and then said they were going to SFGAM. I know for sure that other schools are having their Prom too, but who knows they might stay away because of the bad weather too.

Finally, I think if you go to guest relations which is located right outside the front gates, you can get some sort of thing saying that she's 36". I'm pretty sure on this we'll have to see what the other people on this thread say to make sure.

You're still not going on Opening Day. Opening Day is Saturday. You're going on Sunday. That is technically the day after opening day. That would be considered part of opening weekend. Opening day is May 1st and only May 1st. :D

This has been one of the longest school days of the year for me! It's only 6th hour and I'm in my programming class right now. I can't wait until tomorrow!
