Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Using these criteria's when is the best time to go to SFGAm?

B. Temps 40-65 degrees
C. low risk of sunburn.
D. Attendance is light.
E. most rides are open.
I planned to go June 29th but now am not so sure. Is Oct 30th a good time to go? That was my second date.

October 30th, the park will undoubtly be packed. It is near the end of the season and it is during frightfest. The park is open 10am to 11pm that day so you could get some good riding in.
Early June would be a good time to go. Any Saturdays in May are also good times to go. It is very tough to predict when it will be busy or not, and I would suggest checking the old trip reports, as we have one from just about every week of the season and they tell you about how crowded/how long the lines will be.

For sure go June 29th. October 30th is Fright Fest and it will be extremely crowded. Avoid going to Fright Fest at all costs if you only plan on visting once this season as you will not get on many rides without having to wait large amounts of time.

It won't be very crouded if you go on a cloudy day. Most people suspect a storm and won't go. They usually close down the rides only if its very windy or if there is lightning. I suggest looking beforhand at the weather. I went on a rainy day in the middle of June once. It wasn't crouded and only Superman was delayed about 5 minutes. Well, Dejavu was closed too. Duh. But thats it.
Is Raging Bull hot? You better believe it.

It fits all other criteria, also it's well worth it and better than most 10-9 days if your there from opening to close.

Early June is the best time to go from my experience, Most schools are out so not as many school trips to park, and the park isnt as busy as it is in June/August yet, weather is still nice, etc...But if End of june is only time ya can go, then go then for sure!

The best days I have at the park was very late in the season when it was overcast/drizzling and kinda kinda chilly outside.

My favorite time to go is anytime....
No but really I like overcast and cool UNLESS I want to take some good pics... Then it better be a nice, sunny day!
