Ragin' Cajun has the exact same layout as this ride at Animal Kingdom, but ours won't have nearly as much theming.

Theres a certain standard for theming varies park to park.

It will be fine, I can tell you Primeval's theming is HORRID for a Disney ride but they went for a carni type area and I know SFGAm is doing a great job with Mardi Gras.

The theming could be really amazing considering its Mardi Gras.

I've only been on one other wild mouse before,(Timberland Twister) and it was fun with a feeling that you didn't know what was going on. It has a little bit of air time with some hairpin turns. Rather tame, though. Knowing Great America, Ragin' Cajun will probably be more intense. :D

i agree. the theming is horrible, there is an attempt at a story, but not much of one. They send you back in time to do something, but I dont know what. The actuall Primeval whirl is okay, there is a little air time, but some great lateral G's on the turns.

It's going to be exactly the same? I didn't know that....

Well then I won't be looking forward to my trip as much. Primeval Whirl was just ok. I didn't find anything special about it, except for the spinning of course.
Eh, what's up?

I honestly don't think SFGAm will theme this ride other than the cars and station.

Yeah, your probably right. Its a nice thought to imagine though, because SFGAm doesn't have the best theming in the world. Southwest territory is the most impressive to me.[/i]

Yea, it would be really nice if they themed it though. Six Flags can do pretty good themeing if they put their minds to it and have a good budget.

With a total investment of 6 mil for all the new additions, etc., don't expect IOA type theming.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Really, if you think about it, what can you do to theme a coaster, besides the trains and station, and from what I hear the cars do look nice.

Once you are on the ride and out on the track, besides those disney-esque junky cardboard cutouts there isnt a heck of a lot that can be done.

The 6 mil is an Estimate. SFGAM never released the amount of money they are spending. So really we do not know how much they are spending, it could be more or it could be less.

If you look at the stats on the Six Flags Website it can only hold a max of 36 on the track at any one time. (9 cars x 4 people) And since the ride is 2:30, I think it will be a pretty slow loader.

On another note:
King Chaos looks like a pretty fast loader since it can hold so many people, same goes for Revolution. Big Easy Balloons and Jester's Wild Ride look like they hold about the same amount as Triple Play, so on a busy day you may have to wait a few cycles.

Well I have heard the cars are going to be moving through the station so you enter the cars as they are moving. So the line will be constantly moving

Wilde Maus @ BGW (Now Cheetah Chase @ BGT) was kinda like that, if I recall correctly. There was always like 3 cars in the station, and as soon as one was loaded and off, the next was.... I think. Loading went fast, but that doesn't mean the line did.

I'm sort of getting worried about this. Will ragin' Cajun be ready for friday? That is when they said it would be open. Will they be able to test it and finish building it by then?

Well Considering that Media Day is on May 20th and the current state of Ragin Cajun, it is more obvious then not that It will not be done by May 14th.

Actually read my trip report (named Mothers Day 5-09) and I gace a link for pics. Ragin Cajun Just needs a lift and a station. The lift could be done easily and SUF's station wasnt done by media day so who say's Ragin Cajuns does? It will be done before the 20th and maybe just maybe the 14th.

It might be in condition to operate by May 20th, but it would not be available for the GP to ride. It has to have its que line built, station built and go through the 100 runs

But S:UF wasn't open to the public when the station wasn't compleated. If the airgates arn't in operation, then the ride wont be open.
