Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I ended up not using my snap too much. I stuck more to my normal camera. The Sony Rx100 kills the phone even though it can't zoom that much. If you watched the video above then don't expect too much, the progress is the same. The only difference is you get to see it at a new angle.

Here are the shots I got:

What are your impressions of Maxx Force in person in terms of its presence and overall aesthetic qualities?

It has potential to be great, but only if Six Flags kills it on the station, landscaping, and the railroad bridge.

Other than that, I hope they do something with the footer directly next to Hurricane Harbors gate.... It sticks out like a sore thumb.

Is Maxx Force as intimidating in person as it is in photos?

Wow!! Thanks for the pictures! I like how the station is going to look and how some supports look like they go through it. I hope the park does a good job with making the sign look nice and the queue to have somewhat theming. Again, can't wait to see trains! Anything new at the park you could notice?

I think if the park got an awesome station welcome message about boarding the ride, it'll be even cooler. Something about racing and starting your engine lol. The station kinda reminds me of a pitstop not sure why.

It's pretty intimidating but since I've been to Cedar Point it's like child play in terms of scale.
But you can see from almost anywhere in the park so it's a nice reminder of just how large it really is.

Not too much, Carousel Gifts is unchanged on the outside, Pictorium sign and all of it's canopies are still intact, some stores now have Dining pass snacks all in one spot so you know what the pass is valid on, and Bull yellow train looks like it got new lapbars. There's nothing super note-worthy so I didn't remember it all. I mainly focused on the Maxx Force area before ditching the park from the cold.

Here's the train status: (I'll copy this to Minor updates)

SUF: 1
X-flight: 1
Eagle: 2 (red)
Viper: 2
BTR: 2
Goliath:: 1 (Orange/train 1)
Bull: 2 (Teal/Yellow)

Found out Tower did open briefly this morning but I missed the opportunity. If anyone else got on tower and got pictures, post 'em.

Also, in one of those pics, it looks like Superman is starting to get repainted!

At the park today and rode it. I wish I got a picture but it was really difficult to tell if it was painted. That turn leading to the lift was always in the best shape.

Also, much better quality Maxx Force pictures from Tower here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1634575 ... 123857638/

Oh. I thought the yellow rail was being repainted as it turned out of the station because it (the yellow paint) just ended right before the lift.

When I thought about it I really can't say for sure. Hence why I edited my post.

I guess we'll have someone find out opening day. I didn't get a picture of it.

Great Adventure and Over Georgia eliminated the yellow when the rides were repainted.

The area is way bigger than I thought it was & the station is small. The launch still blows my mind.

Thanks everyone for sharing pictures.
So based on this picture https://scontent-ort2-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/57072635_10219104689555309_9142746893594394624_o.jpg?_nc_cat=110&_nc_ht=scontent-ort2-1.xx&oh=7e4a22ac5a0c4f2304d6e0d030e9ff5b&oe=5D3C6BFF
is the train now going to go under Raging Bull supports (or did it before Maxx Force)?

^ I think the train has always been routed to go under the supports of RB.

It's nice to see everything from above now it's easier to visualise it all. I wonder how big the queue will be and where it'll sit since there is still a hill next to the station. Is the section of missing track between the brake run and the station the transfer track? I feel like that station is pretty small if they were going for a double loading platform.

I now see what you mean. From the Sky Trek vantage point, the launch looks very, very short, assuming it starts after you clear the train tunnel and ends just before the bunny hill.
