Minor Updates, Rumors, and Happenings

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

My bet is a large Kids area replacing Revolution and Kidzopolis.

Please be Looney themed. Please be Looney themed.....I'm so sick of DC being sporadically plopped wherever it's convenient.

My question is are the go karts getting axed or will they reuse Kidzopolis/Camp Cartoon. eiter way as long as it's the Looney Tunes and it's well themed i see this as a win
Old Great America was better, however I hope just a bit of that charm comes back

I imagine whatever they do, it will use one of the existing areas and be re-themed and expanded.

We should know more when the agenda for the meeting is released….

It should have nothing to do with Wrath…as the height limit was raised several years ago.

Someone in this thread was right on the money. Solar panels.

Yeah I think most would speculate the same.

I’d guess they’ll demolish the old county fair kids area either way. It was cool when it was The American Eagle queue but with the rest of the redevelopment in that area, this bit has to be next.

Agreed. I think Kidzopolis will be demolished and some of the rides will be moved to what will be a rethemed and expanded Camp Cartoon.

So will we be parking UNDER the solar panels (since they'll be 15 feet tall) ?

Never got to try the cheesecake, and from the looks of it, not many others did either. I only counted three people in the history of my time at the park eating them, all in a group. They looked pretty huge, but who goes to a theme park for cheesecake?
Drizzle will not be back next season. It was already reported in a Great America FB group.

Yes. In all likelihood, it will be Camp Snoopy. They already have the same blueprint at California’s Great America so they likely will replicate it. They removed the go karts at CGA.

They talked heavily during the merger about utilizing IPs and crossing them over between brands. This is a perfect time for this. I imagine Kids will be gone and that will become something else in 27 and beyond.

I really do not want Peanuts. I've wanted Kidzopolis to die for Looney to take it's place for years. Ever since they removed BBNP.

Cheesecake place was almost always closed and when it was open it never had a line. Bring back the chicken place!

I have no issues with Snoopy. It’s more recognizable than Looney Toones and what they’ve done with at some of the legacy CF parks has been really well done.

WOW! Are we getting a complete brand new entrance?! This is great stuff! Hopefully they won't start construction until 4 days before opening like they did this year
Some time, on way to successful, first of steps of all of the steps to being successful steps are hardest of all of the steps to successing.

What year were those last used as the ticket booths? Actually happy to see them go finally.

2023 and 2024. They stopped using it mid-season this year.

God no, the Looney Tunes deserve their place at Great America. Why would you sideline them despite being at the park since Day 1

I don’t think that’s the original. The old ones with the ticket windows were destroyed many years ago.

It looks like they are re doing the whole front entrance as the security checkpoint got done this year and now the actual ticket gates are being redone.
